As Roland told you, this is a strawman, therefore a fallacy. That is no way to argue.

Nevertheless, I'll take the bite. Yes, we will have to do so. As commanded in the Bible. We are the ONLY religious people remaining in the Christian world. All other people that call themselves "Christians" and are not willing to stone a gay person to death, or kill the Amorites and Canaanites even if they are unborn, little children or women are simply not Christian and sadly will burn in Hell.

It is not "fanatism". It is simply following your God. You have two options: be like us, or be a filthy atheist. All the middle ground is filled with sissy pseudo-Christians that are too scared to believe that there is no God to save them after death, and too stupid to realize that there is only ONE path to Heaven, following the Bible 100% to the letter.

    Deuteronomy 20:16-17
16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:

I have nothing against the Perizzites or the Jebusites (I find the Hivites rather annoying) but given the situation, I will take my guns and kill them, and asking no questions as Abraham asked no questions when commanded to kill his own son.

If you don't follow the Bible 100%, then you are thinking that you are better than God, and you can decide which parts of God's words are good and which ones aren't. That path sends you to Hell.

    Re: I'm very tired.

    Miss Colgate,

As our Holy Bible says, "Come, let us reason together." (Isaiah 1:18)

Let's say that you are trying to understand why I want to purchase a Mercedes since you are partial to BMW's. If I do what you ask - ignore the very basis of why I want to get a Benz, there is no way I can adequately explain my stance. My reasons would be based on consumer ratings, the specifications of the vehicle, and the history of ownership that others have handed down.

You can't ask us to put aside the Bible, since within its glorious pages are the specifications and history of God's creation. In the pages of the children's story, Bambi dies. Jesus is our Bambi, with one exception - Jesus rose on the 3rd day (HALLELUJAH!).

God loved us enough to leave a book that HE wrote to guide us through our lives. Those of us who benefit from its wisdom on a daily basis can't just put it on the shelf and act like we can get on without it. We can't. We are slaves to the Master Jesus. It is a kind of freedom that you can't understand until you commit yourself to Him.

At this point, you are headed for Hell - but GOD brought you to our forums to learn of Him. (Luke 5:32) You aren't dealing with normal concepts when you experience the life of Christian service. We are beyond normal, because we are a separate people (Ezra 6:21) (Leviticus 20:24) (2 Corinthians 6:17).

This life is eternally joined with God's Word. It is the ONLY way you'll even begin to comprehend it. And we welcome your inquiries as long as you'll be reasonable about your "arguments."

GOD believes in you, even if you don't believe in Him. When you take one step toward Him, he will take two steps toward you. God is good - all the time. Knock on His door - He'll be waiting for you.

    Praying for you,
    Brother Larry

No, it just means that Dr. White had trouble understanding what the previous poster said.

No offense, but that combined with the odd coloring and bolding of your text makes it difficult to take you seriously.
No offense, but some of us find color coding and bolding out the important parts useful when dealing with posters of less than average intelligence.

    I hope that was helpful.

You keep trying to make your straw man argument work. It won´t and it starts to get annoying. Why do you keep insisting that we should answer another person´s question? Why would you think a True Christian™ would even want me, (a Pastafarian) to answer for him?

This is unfortunate, seeing as I do not wish to insult Christians,
Yup, You just want to put words in their mouth for your own sinister purposes.

I am having serious doubts about your intentions.

Really, we True Christians™ have little in common with "common humanity." Our destiny is heaven, the rest of society is destined to hell. We are living without sin, others are drinking in sin.

What we do here at Landover Baptist is point out the shortcomings of others so they may come to Jesus. It is far better to be blunt and save souls than to be polite and lose souls.

From this I hope you can learn what we are doing and why. Even more importantly I hope you can end your sinful ways and join us.
I appreciate your blunt honesty and overall demeanor, as it seems that others on this forum lack such a thing. Though I personally do not believe in God (uh oh), nor do I believe I will go to hell upon my death (I don't believe I'll go anywhere, for that matter), I respect you for your relaxed approach on this topic, regardless of your religious beliefs.

It seems, unfortunately enough, that some users on this forum wish to mute me. This is unfortunate, seeing as I do not wish to insult Christians, Christianity, or God; I only wish to see your perspective on life, and share mine, to compare and contrast our different lifestyles. The eventual goal is to find some sort of middle ground, but even without that, I will have learned a lot. I do not plan on responding to anybody else in this thread, as it seems the people here are not opened minded, and aren't willing to look at the issue of our common humanity in a rational light. I would hope, though, that I somehow influenced someone on this thread in a positive way, and I was able to spread some of my opinions, even if they contradict with your bible, so you can understand me a bit better.

    Goodbye, Landover Baptist.

"Invade and exterminate." That does sort of sum up a lot of what God has to say in the Bible.

The word "exterminate" isn't precisely used, however. Usually, He just commands His followers that other people should be "put to the sword", or tells them to "utterly slay" the people of a given town or land or nation.

Seriously, that sort of stuff is all over the Bible, which is why I encouraged you to read it. But, for some reason, you feel free to ignore me. I guess nothing that I have to say is controversial enough.

    Insignificantly Yours,
    Handmaiden

If you do not trust us then tell us, why should we trust you or even engage with you? Why exactly are you here?

If you were at all familiar with the Bible, you would know the answer. We are instructed in several places (Titus 3:1 and Romans 13:1-2 spring to mind) to obey the secular authorities. Massacring non-believers is currently against secular law in many countries, including my own and the USA. It is really not even an issue.

    Dear Roland and Joanna,

By saying these things I was not attempting to brand True Christians in any bad light. I was simply trying to appeal to the fact that while we, as people, has different beliefs, that we are still people. By saying that I "hope," I was trying to suggest that I did not believe anyone on this site had in in there hearts to infringe on the laws set in place by their government. I am sorry for the confusion, and I will refrain from using any outlandish hypothetical scenarios in the future.
