Re: Hello from a Saved Bastard

I was thinking about The Law. Jesus was clear that all 613 commandments were in force. That includes requirements for sacrifice. The only difference is that when a sacrifice is required Jesus has become that sacrifice. In Hebrews the sentiment remains present tense:

    HEBREWS 9 . KJV . look up
    22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Our innate vile nature has been purified with something beyond itself. Rather than purifying what after all is only patterned on the things of Heaven, a process requiring blood, it is the Heavenly things themselves which purify us. And do so perfectly. The blood of humans, Jephthah's daughter, priests of Baal, fraudulent incense burners and so on could only assuage the Divinity for so long. Animal blood was also used but was no more effective. The blood in all these things is part of the model. The model patterned on the things of Heaven.

Moving on from human blood we come next to divine blood. This was in Jesus. It was able to purify the Heavenly things themselves. This is the source of our purification, it is thorough and complete. It cannot be undone. Eating a bat would once have undone the purification achieved temporarily with lower grades of blood. But our grade of blood is TOP SHELF. EXPORT QUALITY. Yet in none of this to I see any way to undo the bastard curse. There are a lot of ancestors to assess. Can we ever be sure? Really sure?

    Verily, Brother Phil,

Even worse, the medical and atheist-philosophical communities have also launched a "War on Death", which is the most ridiculous idea ever. This War was won more than 2000 years ago when Jesus after the short interlude within His sepulchre (Luke 23:53) Resurrected Himself and Ascended into Heaven. And He is waiting for us there!

    2 Timothy 1:10
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

All these "wars" have indeed been won eons ago by the actions of Jesus and only Jesus!

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

Why would you believe a doctor about a so called "allergic reaction"? Another one up the road may have said you had sleep apnoea, or diphtheria or had been engaging in autoerotic behaviour. What none of these secular physicans would have told you is that the root cause of your malady is sin. A pastor would have told you that, and helped you discover what sin it was and the prayers to God which may lead Him to absolve you of your sin.

I used to be a Presbyterian before the good people of this forum convinced me that sprinkling water on a baby's head was a meaningless ritual. For baptism to have any significance, it must involve dunking an adult in water.

What are you views on infant baptism? If you agree with it, tell us how you justify it from Scripture. If you don't, tell us how you can still be affiliated with a church that practices it.

I assumed Sister Mitza was just making polite conversation. I mean, I can't see any reason why she would be actually interested.

Look, I can't call you "Bastard," so I'm just going to address you as Twelve Twelve. Is that ok with you?

Good. Now then, you seem unclear on the definitions of words. Being descended from daemons does not make you a bastard. Having unmarried parents makes you a bastard.

I must say I'm quite intrigued by your daemon ancestry, though. Do you have horns like some Jews do?

    Hello Bastard,

That sounds rough. Are you feeling better now? How did this affect you being a Presbyterian? (plugging this one in for Didymus)

The Bible answers your first question for you. I'm sure you've heard of nephilim. That's where my lineage comes in; because of it I'm not fully a demon, but not fully human either
