And don't forget, Paul recommends that older widows who can't bear children should not get married, unless they are burning with passion.

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I.
But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

I remember recalling a Nigerian lawyer trying to get close to Sister Isabella in the past. This man attends a missionary, has a Nigra sounding name, and is acting like a lawyer. I am going to be cautious in saying hello as instructed in 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

    Greetings Mr. Darrow, Esq.!

I bid you good day and I hope to make you welcome as well. I am Trevor McGregor, come to Babylon from Tivoli Gardens which is in Kingston which is in Jamaica which is my home though my true home is in the Motherland which is Africa and I am here among the white people for now. I too was educating myself to be an attorney when I was called by Jah to be a surgeon which I am now being educated as at my school which is Georgetown University. I am currently in the early phase of my training and I am deeply involved in a course called Biology 101 which is very important for future physicians. I hope to go on to advanced surgical training next semester.

With a name such as yours I suppose you are a white man. Even though you are a white man we can be friends and it is always good for a Black man to know a good attorney. One of the principle reasons I have come to Babylon is to better overstand the white man and I will be very interested in your commentary.

I once encountered a similarly troubling situation at a health spa here on the North side. It sure gives one pause to learn how quickly a misunderstanding can escalate. But Christ Jesus wasn't quite done with his plans for me that day and a catastrophe such as the one that befell your dear husband was narrowly averted. My injuries quickly healed with very few stitches. P.S. Mr. White (Wilbur) passed away some time ago, due to a most unfortunate death by drowning during a time of witnessing to young men in the pool of his local health spa. I have chosen to remain a widow, so as to devote as much time as possible to the and to church. Blessings to you.

Ms. White, you make the very same excellent point that I have been trying to make to the newer leadership of KUC since he was contracted. You'll also notice that there are now two women listed on the 'Leadership' page as "Associate Ministers" which, to me, is evidence that liberalism may be trying to gain a foothold in my church of twenty-five years.
Dear Mr. Darrow: Thank you for your informative response. I had neglected to mention your church leadership in my previous post, as I had thought that the lack of teaching about repentance was more than enough to discourage any from associating with such LIE-beral hypocrites.

Now, then, what you do is your own business, but I feel that I would not be doing my duty if I did not warn you of the dangers which are associated with your fellowship with that "church". I'll let the blessed show you what I mean:

As for female leadership on the ministerial team:

I Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."

II Corinthians 11:3 "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."

And, I noticed that the only male pastor has been associated with the Presbyterian Church, of all things. Presbyterians?! If this does not show how worldly and watered-down they are, then I'm afraid that people are either not paying attention or they, quite simply, do not care!

II Corinthians 6:14 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

II Timothy 3:5 "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

Now, as for your meeting with the male pastor, Dear, I would not expect much to change. You will likely be met with some long song-and-dance about "that's the way we do things here", but after having been there for 25 years, I do hope that you can see that you have, finally, found the place where you should be worshiping: .

I shall remember you in my prayers, dear Mr. Darrow, and it is my hope that the Almighty will steer you onto the true path of Salvation through the shed of Son, the .

    Sincerely, Isabella W.
P.S. And, if you don't mind, for future reference, it's Mrs. White -- not Ms. White. We have no time for any of that feminist stuff around these parts. Thank you.

I'm anxious to learn what is meant by "reviving oldie-but-goodie threads" as I have not yet availed myself of forum archives. In the spirit of learning from those I pray will one day embrace me as a member, I will happily receive and follow direction from the leadership of Landover Baptist Church to those "oldie-but-goodie threads" that I might become better versed in the ways of your sacred community.

May Jesus Christ guide my every thought and action in His name.

Ms. White, you make the very same excellent point that I have been trying to make to the newer leadership of KUC since he was contracted. My offers to edit the 'About Us' statement for the website have been met with resistance, even some derision. You'll also notice that there are now two women listed on the 'Leadership' page as "Associate Ministers" which, to me, is evidence that liberalism may be trying to gain a foothold in even this, my church of twenty-five years, as (tragically) we see in so many others. I remain steadfastly against this erosion of our conservative roots and pray for Jesus to guide our pastor. Failing that, I am prepared to file a suit against KUC for their blatant attempts to advance their so-called "progressive" attitudes that allowed for women to be among church leadership in any capacity. And it is these so-called "misters" who have resisted ongoing efforts to have the 'About Us' statement revised to be better aligned with the beliefs of the rank-and-file members. I'll be meeting with our Reverend Dr. Bill this week to discuss how it would appear if certain regular revenue streams to the church should end up delayed by a certain element within the congregation that is resistant to the aforementioned "progressivism", especially the examples cited herein. I hope and pray that the church will be able to see a need to avoid drawing attention to itself by a flurry of legal proceedings becoming public knowledge. Jesus guides my hand as a challenge to this thinking is readied for a filing I pray I'll never need to execute.

Thank you deeply, Mr. Darrow, for that fascinating re-introductory message. I've found the site for that which appears to be your Kenilworth Church, and it's rather interesting, too, I must say. I hope that you won't mind my asking, but something struck me as being somewhat rather unusual in their "About Us" information, and that's if they actually believe in repentance, as taught within the blessed pages of the . I do not see any reference to repentance here:

However, all servants of the , here at , know and honor the great importance of this:

Acts 3:19 "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."

II Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Acts 17:30 "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent".

It is my hope and prayer that you have not found yourself congregating at a LIE-beral church, one of those " loves everybody and everyone gets to go to Heaven" places.

And, I hope that you haven't minded my asking about this. I should not wish to see you on the perilous path to , Mr. Darrow. We do take a great interest -- of this you can be most assured.

    Sincerely, Isabella W.
