As long as you understand it is for your personal enjoyment and not for redemption, teaching, salvation, discussion, argument, praise or resource, you will be fine.
With your help and guidance, Brother, I know I will be fine. Halleluiah! It was a blessed path indeed that led me here.
I have given the reasons why I treasure this version, and it will always be by my side. However, I am happy to refer to KJV for the true Word. Just as I am to learn His Truth from you.
Thank you for your respectful explanation.

Ironic, considering you are using a "changing word" version of the Bible.

Thank you, Brother, for Showing me the Way to properly quote. I had sought to edit my post once I saw the error of my ways, but it appears that the Word once written remains forever unchanged. And that is indeed worthy. One cannot stay true to a changing word.

We use the 1611 KJV Bible around here, young lady.
Thank you for the chastisement and correction, may I have more?
I used the New International Version as it is very dear to me. That book found me when I was in a dark place, and it led me to the light. It's also the version whose cover best matches my bedroom linen.
For King James, the passage was rendered thusly:
<QUOTE>
Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me?
Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?
</QUOTE>
Greetings in the spirit to those who would carry a light.
I am a simple soul, full of faith and fury. His is the way, and I hope to be in His way.
My favorite bible passage is 1 Samuel 21:14-15:
Achish said to his servants, “Look at the man! He is insane! Why bring him to me? 15 Am I so short of madmen that you have to bring this fellow here to carry on like this in front of me? Must this man come into my house?”
