It's good of you to consider future newcomers to the site. One objection worth preempting here is the claim, so often heard, that before Queen Elizabeth (sometimes Martin Luther or Henry VIII are cited) there was no other Christianity than Catholicism. For fifteen or sixteen centuries in the Western tradition lies about The Bible were all there was. Eastern orthodoxies never had a reformation and comprise the majority grouping after the Romish Orthodox patriarch, styling himself "Bishop of Rome" and subsequently as a pope, hived himself off to form the Roman Catholic heresy EXCEPT THAT none of them followed The Bible so were all heretics.
They eventually excommunicated one another approx. 1 millennium ago.

So where did true Christianity come from? Why did Jesus wait another one-and-a-half thousand years, years of lies, torture, burnings alive, idolatry, chopping off of heads, extortion, the full works in fact, after not having Himself born from Eve following the original sin event to be murdered then, enabling Salvation for humanity from the outset?
Genesis 4:16-17 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

Cain and Abel and their children, by accepting The Blood of Christ, could have been Saved® all those years ago. Eventually, these doubters claim, Jesus was born from Mary with the same outcome as if He'd been born from Eve. But then He waited so many more centuries, so many more lives wasted being taught lies and receiving false baptisms and in many cases being tortured to death or whipped mercilessly by sadists, burned alive at the stake, having their parents' heads chopped off and thrown into the gutter while bishops and cardinals and popes lived in revolting luxury year after year, century after century with no redress possible and torture or worse the certain response to suggesting that maybe answers were in order from such dissipated muck as the clergy proved to be.

But these are unreliable claims; even in The Bible one denomination is identified. Of course it wasn't a denomination then, nevertheless we know that Baptist was a thing from day one. Future newcomers reading through will know that, No: catholicism was not all there was. There were also Baptists and Anabaptists who did not accept the dogma of Rome (or Kiev or wherever else patriarchs had set themselves up) and not enough had their heads chopped to extinguish The Truth prevailing to this day.

Mrs. Jackson, unfortunately you have been banned before we could be properly introduced. I can't speak to your marital troubles without more details, however as for general advice I can point you to the time-tested policies used to categorize visitors to this website. Maybe you will get some insight into your husband.

Hi y'all. Can you please tell me how I can convince my husband that he needs Jesus in his life? All he wants to do is go to strip clubs instead of reading the Holy Bible with me. We have eight children and I don't think John's behavior is a good example. If you have any helpful ideas than I would be greatful to recieve them.

That King was, and remains, Jesus. There were also earthly rulers but with a history of serving popes and other charlatans who tried to "muscle in on the act" or force-feed their dogma into the project, as you'd probably see it. Landover stands against such attempts, remembering that when the cardinals held actual political power they burned us alive. Why did they do that? Because we wanted to read The Bible for ourselves and understand God's teaching. They'd cobbled together their own rendition in a language quite alien to God's intended readership (not even Paul's epistle to Rome was written in Latin) and their hideous intentions were revealed with head chopping and thumb screws, the rack and other contrivances for anyone questioning their project. Some of those were kings and queens who worked for Jesus too, and one was King James.

Popes kept up with the tortures, chopping off of heads and the burnings alive but to no avail. Jesus wanted us to know what He'd taught and Jesus won.

Interesting you picked this thread and failed to read what was in it only to attempt to disparage, good and decent people with your hate filled comments. Nice.
No one is forcing anyone. Those with half a brain can follow the teachings of Christianity.
Not everyone can be like you, knowing a second language like 'trash talk'.
I'll pray for your worthless soul.

I see now that my earlier post was incomplete and that I ought to add a third button.

When visiting the introduction forum there's an easy to find button TOP LEFT of the main page. I've reproduced the button here and made it a live link going to that very page. Some introductory posts are quite good. Mine wasn't and I even used a heretic's Bible simply because there was one handy and I hadn't really understood that God's message is not amenable to interpretation.
II Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

And that is a very good starting point. The Bible records historical events which otherwise would have been lost. Vested interests do not want The Truth to be understood and will stop at nothing to preserve their gravy train, including expungement from Earth's history all traces of what Salvation really means. When Christ was here He in the world He'd created it was clear to Him what was going on, how liars were running the show for their own benefit and teaching others to lie on their behalf regardless of the cost. He did something about it. My ideas had been formed without a true appreciation of that cost and I trust that as you read with us here you will understand the reasons why. Everywhere that is not water is Earth.
Genesis 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

You're standing on it (or sitting, as you sedentary sci-fi slobs are wont to do). But sister Basilissa already called you out on that. The real problem is your implication that there are other planets, especially other living planets. Do you understand that your Star Trek shows aren't real? That there's no such thing as a Daft Vader? Either you're "trolling" (badly) or you're a world class fool!

Look, I'm sorry, kid. I should be more patient. Not everyone learns at the same speed, and that's okay. You'll get there, champ. Typically, I would tell you to read the Holy KJV but because you're my extraordinary buddy, I'm going to show you this visual guide to the entire universe. It's made for special classes and you're very special indeed!

I don't know about the planet bit, but have you tried looking under your feet for the solid flat earth?

Also, we do have an Introduction Forum and we greatly encourage new posters to introduce themselves, you know, like civilized people.

Can I just point out here, in the light of frequent misunderstandings, that although the intro. forum is where you can start a thread it's still easy to contribute in existing threads by clicking either the "New Reply" button at the head [TOP LEFT] of each page or the "Quote" button at the foot [BOTTOM RIGHT] of each post. The buttons look like this:

A "New Reply" button is also provided below the last post [BOTTOM LEFT] on each page of the thread.
