  • Hi! Can I learn from you guys?

    Hi!

I'm Marisa! I'm here thanks to a friendly chat with someone, an ex-kind-of-semi-lazy-catholic like myself.

I'm looking for a faith I think I need one because I think God have a plan for me, if not I wouldn't be here, yeah? I think the Baptist faith seems attracting to me, so I'll like to try I think.

I don't have a favorite bible verse yet, but I'm sure I will have soon.
I'm single and I'm not going out with anyone in this moment, I live at home with my family and brother and 2 sisters.

I don't really talk a lot in the real life so if there is things you wanna know just ask me, OK?

I hope you're day's going really well. I'm gonna go to bed soon, cos it's late/early here, OK?

Get yourself a KJV Bible, read it and follow the rules set forward in it.

    It's pretty easy.

          Code?

I'm talking about the King James Version Bible

Although if you have half decent reading skills, you may want to try it in the original 1611 language.

I'd like to invite you over for some personal one-on-one counseling, but our Godly pastors have first dibs.
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

She is probably referring to the da Vinci code; the realative's Bible will most likely be a Douay-Rheims or possibly even a non-English version.

Believer, are you saying that when a 1611 KJV is not available, it is permissible for me to use a more recent KJV?

As far as I know as long as it's a 1611Authorized version. After all, we usually link to BibleGateway and the automatic linking software uses the 1900 Authorized version.

Authorized is the magic word though, no New King James Version, or Modern King James Version. Authorized King James Version Only! After all, have you noticed the reading abilities of the average unsaved trash? I think "Bible Stories for Babies" is above most of them.

Not that I'm saying that Marisa L Sanchez fits in the Go Dog Go group. She seems to be able to at least put a sentence together.

                    OK, thanks for the info.
I think the Bible grandaftaher have is not the KJV - in fact I'm certain, this being a catholic country it's probably something standard. I had no idea before now. SORRY!

I just though 'Hey, Bible is Bible' - but again sorry for my ignorance...

                    OK, let's start afresh.
                    About me:

As Mrs Whitford thinks I'm not in the GoDogGO group ( whatever it is that that means)..

I'm a student of English at university.
I'm not a native speaker of English but was always best of my class.
I spent from 14-16 at school in Ireland, so I learned a lot then.
I've been enough lucky to have spend a year in Canada later and so I think my English is not perfect but pretty good. That said, I'm modest enough to know it's not perfect. SO any mistakes, I apologize you for.

Family? Catholic, sort of. Very Spanish this attitude really. It's the typical, never go in church except for weddings funeral communions...

Grandparents: he was/is ultra-left wing, anti religion, but grandma is very catholic. We spent a lot of time with her because Dad was always working etc...so I think I just picked up the habit of go to church.

But, as I menationed before, I just see so much hipocrisy, I just can't take seriosly the church of Rome.

The reason I came here was my cousin said you guys at least are consistent with what is writen in the good book. Catholics say one thing, do another, and make excuses on some other before not mentioned pretest, so I just figure, since I believe in God, I should try to learn and if deserving, join a church that at least takes serious the Word of God.

I was told you guys are the reference point for this integrity.

(Sorry whatever I did to get the infraction - don't know what it was for but sorry. I welcome PMs to keep right me.)

Good feelings to all too by the way.

Marisa, don't you have some kids to nanny or toilets to clean at the main house?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Nope. Housework finished. My sister Araceli (she's my twin by the way) has just finished washing the dishes. We had family up here visiting, but at least my (girl) cousins helped.

I've come in my room with the excuse for study a little but I was checking my facebook and found myself here....I suppose Jesus wants me here, yes?

Anyway, have to go out to living room - family now on the 'cubatas', hard drinks and things. Big event! My older cousin just had her first baby! Celebrate!
