I feel the eternal damnation closing in on me

    Hello & Greetings,

First I'd like to say I made a post without first reading up on the forum rules and regulations, for that, I would like to sincerely apologize.

I have started reading through a few of the "read here before posting" posts, and have every intention of reading through them all.

But first, I feel like I should post up my introduction and get the ball rolling here.

My real name is Timothy and I am 31 years old from Minnesota. I grew up in an mostly dominant athiest family (few Catholics littered within the family tree) and first came to know Christ in 2004 during a trip to St. Louis, MO during Marti Gras. I don't follow any one particular religion as I feel one does not need to follow a religion to have faith in God.

I currently attend Mercy Vineyard church in Minneapolis, MN.

Thus far, my favorite verse is 2 Timothy 3:16:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"

I also really like Romans 10:9:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Though, I must say lately, I feel I am without faith, God & spirituality, I feel eternal damnation knocking at my door. I am a sinner and feel I have lost the path to God.

Please help me become the better True Christian I know I can be through God.

    Your brother in Christ,
    Timothy
    Matthew 7:1–2:
Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Before anything else, what are the meanings of your profile image and avatar, Timothy?

The avatar was changed (not by me) after my very first post, which I have mentioned in this introduction thread. (did not link to it though as I feel it was a bit hasty and without thought/reason).

The profile image was to signify and symbolize how I feel about my faith and the lack thereof with eternal damnation closing in on me. This too was a bit hasty and I have changed it to a picture of the REAL me.

Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Praise Jesus, damnation IS knocking at your door, friend! You are a worthless bag of guts and richly deserve to be sent down into the deepest pits of hellfire, where you will be torn limb from limb, peeled like a grape, dipped in salt and repeatedly assraped by every demon in hell. But because God loved me so much that He had His only begotten son temporarily killed for me, I can look forward to spending etrenity up in Heaven, sitting at the right hand of Jesus, sharing a cold beer with him and laughing heartily at the anguished screams of the sinners being tortured down in hell. Oh, hallelluyah! I can't wait for the day!

I feel spiritually uplifted and excited when thinking about our Lord and his only begotten son, but hey… not in THAT way!
