Are you saying the genealogies are somehow corrupted? The Bible puts it like this:

Psalm 119:140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy seruant loueth it.

You seem to be saying something different.

As far as pillars are concerned of course they might hold up any shaped object, square, round, egg-shaped, okapi shaped, tetrahedron

I suppose you could list every shape earth's pillars are not holding up but it would be a long list so we usually just say they're holding up the earth. There are also pillars of heaven and in this example God advises us that beams are incorporated into the structure.

    PSALM 104
1 Blesse the Lord, O my soule, O Lord my God, thou art very great: thou art clothed with honour and maiestie.
2 Who couerest thy selfe with light, as with a garment: who stretchest out the heauens like a curtaine.
3 Who layeth the beames of his chambers in the waters, who maketh the cloudes his charet: who walketh vpon the wings of the wind.
4 Who maketh his Angels spirits: his ministers a flaming fire.
5 Who laid the foundations of the earth: that it should not be remoued for euer.

Getting back to your genealogies - they are a reliable dating system, provided the records are kept accurately which in this case they have been.

    I CHRONICLES 5
17 All these were reckoned by genealogies in the dayes of Iotham king of Iudah, and in the dayes of Zeroboam king of Israel.
18 The sonnes of Reuben, and the Gadites, and halfe the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to beare buckler and sword, and to shoote with bow, and skilfull in warre, were foure and fourtie thousand, seuen hundred and threescore, that went out to the warre.
19 And they made warre with the Hagarites, with Ietur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20 And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were deliuered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battell, and he was intreated of them, because they put their trust in him.
21 And they tooke away their cattell: of their camels fiftie thousand, and of sheepe two hundred and fiftie thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.

22a For there fell downe many slaine, because the warre was of God.
    ©1611

But that is all they are. They are not "magic" or anything and God is clear that it's wrong to obsess over them:

TITUS 3:9 But auoyd foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and striuings about the lawe; for they are vnprofitable and vaine.
    ©1611

You could work it out the other way, by adding up the days of their lives starting with Genesis 5:5 and working forward. The answer would be the same.

I am not a True Scientist™ and this question has never been of great value for me personaly, but if Earth is 6000 or 7000 or even 8000 years old.
    What difference does it make?

The Evilutionists talks about billions of years.

Fag, all means all. The inspired writer wanted to convey that Jesus was tempted by seeing kingdoms he didn't have, but the PROMISED LAND was of GOD! He had that! That wouldn't have been much of a temptation, now, would it?

I think Zeke's right. You're a coffee mug-holding fag who comes into the office with a limp wrist who sniffles and hum-drums around the water cooler with liberal views on the Bible without ever accepting it for truth or being willing to throw off the tirade of nonsense resting in your conflicted, homer brain. Hell awaits fags.

The Bible clearly says all the kingdoms of the earth, so yes.

    Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

    All the promised land is

Genesis 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

That is all the territory from Iran to the Nile in Egypt.

I don't understand what you mean by Satan could have been showing Jesus the Promised Land. The Bible says the entire world.

But despite professing to follow scientific method in actual fact he's doing what all secularists do. He's approaching the evidence with a preconceived idea then discarding anything he sees that contradicts what he already believes to be true. Either that or creatively re-interpreting what's there if someone won't let him bury it because they've seen it too.

We know God exists. The Bible backs that up and explains everything so even a child can understand. If silly measurements made by scientists contradict that then it just shows how imperfect we are at fathoming God's works. Why must they twist reality and follow a conspiracy of lies? It's so hateful.

But it's ok, boy. Go the way of science. After all, you've seen those pretty photos "of earth" from NASA and believe them over the Bible when you've already answered your own argument from Matthew 4. If Jesus were taken up on a high mountain and shown "all the kingdoms" of the earth, the earth had to be flat.

So which is it going to be? Satan and a round earth or God and a flat earth?

Scientific studies (often of dubious value when attempting to prove biblical facts) have come to a conclusion on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

It is identical to Stereopodigism. That is when the iron in your blood turns to lead and you do not want to get off your ass. I kindly suggest you seek out a doctor who knows about Stereopodisim, they are hard to find but they are out there.

No, I would demand that the rapist marry his "victim" and pay her father fifty shekels, in accordance with God's law.

    Deuteronomy 22:28-29

    28If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
