I think it's a good idea if I interject here.

As someone who was saved from the clutches of Catholics I might help this person who is as deluded as I was.

The Holy Spirit had filled me with disquiet while I was a Catholic. What the Priests were saying jibed with what a filthy atheist acquaintance of mine said was actually in the Bible. So I read the Bible. From cover to cover. It literally changed my life. All the crazy lies the Papists had been telling me were laid bare. After a heated exchange over some prawn snacks which God clearly states are an abomination I left the bead jigglers behind.

It rather backfired on my atheist tormentor as well. Full of smug "I told you so" comments, imagine his surprise as I rebuked him and rejected him utterly as God commands. It's a good job for him he can dodge rocks quite well.

So, my friend, read the Bible and forget all that the priests have told you! It will change your life forever as you finally understand God for the first time.

As for your assertion that women are equals, that simply has no basis in Scripture. Both the Old and New Testaments make it clear that women are property.

What I want to save you from is believing your own morality is superior to God's. I want to save you from believing you can disregard the parts of the Bible you don't like, because that is a surefire way to find yourself in Hell. I want to save you from thinking you are better than God, and that you know better than God.

You may not agree with God on some issues, like homosexuality for example, but God is the authority here. Not us.

Yes there are many homosexuals who are good people, I know some. But that does not change the fact that God considers them an abomination. Many are wonderful, kind hearted people and a joy to be around. But God is still sending them to Hell. There's nothing we can do about that - God knows better than us.

But to defy God by rejecting His word, that will also send you to Hell.
