Hey there Curious George! I'm not quite sure what you're going on about, but isn't "baptized Catholic" some kind of oxymoron?

Let me guess, they take a jug of wine, which they've convinced themselves is literally Christ's blood, and they pour it on your head, right?

It's a good thing you've joined us, friend, because I can tell you've got a long road ahead of you.

    Re: About Me

We don't reconcile science with our religious belief.

    The Bible is either,

The inerrant word of God. He gives us the truth about His creation and gives us rules to live our lives in ways that glorify Him.

Or it is the best guess that a primitive bronze age tribe could come up with with the knowledge they had at the time. God was their answer to scientific questions.

If you believe that their questions can be answered better with a modern scientific understanding then you MUST throw out their conclusion of their God. Anything else would be ilogical. Most Christians in the world today are illogical.

We believe ALL the words of God are true. That is the ONLY logical position for a Christian to take. If you accept one piece of scientific evidence over the word of God then you have to reject all of it,

Welcome to God's favorite forum. I hope you realize that this is a Christian forum, not a papist one.

Interesting. Have you learned anything? What period within the modern era? What movements have most interested you?

How much have you studied the Bible? Those are great verses, but they are a bit novice by our standards.

Jesus spoke of the weeds who do not bring forth good fruit being burned.

    Matthew 13:40
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Jesus also often spoke of Gehenna. If you read the description of what Gehenna is, it is a furnace outside of Jerusalem where the trash was burnt.

It's a bit of a double entendre for the initiated.

Matt.5:22 whoever calls someone "you fool" will be liable to Gehenna.
Matt.5:29 better to lose one of your members than that your whole body go into Gehenna.
Matt.5:30 better to lose one of your members than that your whole body go into Gehenna.
Matt.10:28 rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
Matt.18:9 better to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into Gehenna.
Matt.23:15 Pharisees make a convert twice as much a child of Gehenna as themselves.
Matt.23:33 to Pharisees: you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to Gehenna?
Mark 9:43 better to enter life with one hand than with two hands to go to Gehenna.
Mark 9:45 better to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into Gehenna.
Mark 9:47 better to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into Gehenna
Luke 12:5 Fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into Gehenna

Speaking of, did Jesus ever call people names?

So you don't think so. What does Jesus say He will do to all the people who does not follow Him?
