  • Seeking of Knowledge & Divesting of Sins

I'm new to the path of righteousness. I have attended a small Baptist Church in my home town and received Christ but I don't think I am properly saved yet. There must be so many ways I am in error.

I'm just here to learn. Please forgive any theological faux pas I might make. I am sure there will be many along my path to light. They are through ignorance not the will to blaspheme.

I welcome correction by those more learned and pure than me. I have many sinful ways to purge myself of before I am worthy of Heaven, I know.

My favourite bible verse so far is :

    Matthew 21:12
And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves.

I think doves and bankers are creepy too. And bankers with doves...well that's just wrong, innit? Got lice and stuff they have - the doves not the bankers I mean. Bankers are generally speaking pretty fussy in their personal toilette...I'll give them that in. In my previous occupation I dealt with many of them closely enough to notice that kind of thing.

They'll just tell you that you need a True Christian™ man to discipline and impregnate you into salvation.

So cutting to the chase, are you rape-worthy?

Oh thank you so much for the speedy direction.

My husband sadly is a sinner still and not saved.....and also we don't tak often. I think has about 7 years left on his max. sentence. But he said me being here will be good to point out at future parole hearings so yeah...he kind of did OK it.

I shall hasten to those links. Thank you Pastor.

It's a biblically sanctioned method of contracting marriage.

Deuteronomy 22:28-29 "If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days."

Do you consider the King James Bible to be vulgar?

This is a publicly accessible area. Unfortunately, not all of the visitors are as polite as I am.

              ...(And btw yes.Very much so...
No pic, no proof. Boobies a plus.

...But a good Christian man would never think to ponder that...
But a True Christian™ man would. By rape-worthy, I meant do you have all your parts? Any hideous deformities or retardation that would prevent you from entering the church? (If you thought I meant "hot" or even attractive, you should see some of the wives here... )

...so I am assuming you're some kind of godless atheist...
              Assume no longer.

              ...I will pary[sic] for you)
              If I had a nickel...

Hello dear! Welcome to the forums! I think you'll find this is a very friendly place to True Christians™ of all kinds. Please don't let that old atheist scare you off. Tell us, how many children do you have and how do you like to praise the LORD?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I knew he weren't a god fearer. So crude!

I have 4...living with me. The state took a few. As I said I've walked a sinful path.

It's very hard when my husband is such a miscreant you know? I mean I like Corinthians a lot...where it talks about husband's being leaders and women staying silent and asking their husband for direction but you know....we're not even allowed contact visits in supermax at Goulburn, so how's he supposed to correct me?

And anyway he was raised by papists and I think he might be a bad 'un. We're not even proper church married. Just common law. I am sore in need of guidance that's for sure.

I like to pray in private really. In bed often when it's quiet and dark and I'm alone with God. Sometimes that Church feels kinda wrong. Like they only go there to compare clothes or summat. You know like it says in Matthew 6:5

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Pray for me that I find a way past my many sins.

On that subject, I'm also looking for new work, so money is kinda tight. I try to see it as part of His test. Is that right?
