  • PRAYER REQUEST:

Greetings brothers, I need your help with prayer, and advice.

One of the sister in my church like me and I like her too.
I don't know that I am ready for marriage or not.
She want to meet me for taking a lesson, I mean, I take a lesson to her (maths), but I fear these situations, I've never been liked by girl.

Can you give me advice ? Am I allowed to start a relationship, or not ?
God want to give me a wife, or the Devil temptate me ??

    thanks
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

Listen pal, why don't you leave the moderating to the moderators? Take a look at Gypsy Paul's post count before you make the mistake of assuming he's new here.

Paul, you must not marry your sister! I can not emphasize this enough! No matter how much she likes you, and no matter how flattering her attention is, it would be a very, very, very bad idea to marry your sister!

That is, assuming your father is her father and your mother is her mother. If, on the other hand, she is the daughter of your father but not the daughter of your mother, there may be some established precedent for such a marriage...

        Genesis 20:12

And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

I sincerely hope you're not changing your story just so you can have sex with your sister. That would make you a liar on top of being an incestor. Got hates liars!

              No, I don't want sex.
Sometimes I think, I don't want marriage neither.
I rather want to devote myself to the Lord, and live only for Him, without marriage.
Can I ask God to give me celibacy gift ?

                Celabacy?

That's the most discusting thing I've heard all day

Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

It sounds like you already have the celibacy gift, friend!

                  At least I assume so . . . you're not a fornicator, are you?

Please pay no attention to our new friend Larni. He is still learning the Bible, and is unaware that the Apostle Paul favored celibacy:

                  1 Corinthians 7: 7-9

7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I.

9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
                  Bible boring? Nonsense!

I am not fornicator, of course.
I have great desire for sex and marriage, but I have greater desire for giving myself to the Lord.
If it is possibe, I would make a decision, and ask the Lord, that He never give me wife.
If the Lord and LBC want it so, can you pray for me for this gift ?

Why not just take matters into your own hands?

                      Matthew 19:12

For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

                        Dear Rev.

I prayed to the Lord and I asked the gift of Celibacy for myself.
I am weak, but I devoted my whole self to the Lord, I don't want wife, I want to live only for Jesus.

I just want to ask you, can someone change my profile name, I don't want to be "gypsy scum", because I am not gypsy.
I want to be: Paul the celibate for Christ.
It would be great help fr me, because it reminds me, that I am not my own (1Cor. 6,19), but I am for Christ, and He has me. And I am not allowed to seek wife or marriage or any sexual satisfaction, I and my body are devoted to Christ.
                        I hope, you agree me.
