I love Texas, but Austin is a definite danger zone, filled with "free thinkers" and college students. That town really went downhill when Katz's Deli closed. It was the only place where I could celebrate my troubling heritage with some Jewish food, yet listen to a proper, live country & western band at the same time.

Lotta country singers are hopped up on Benzedrine all the time, singing about adultery, but they tend to love America a lot more than the rock 'n' rollers, and I appreciate that.
