Exactly my point! Finally someone who realises that you only need to follow the nicer parts of the Bible

Anyway if god did make all of us in his image then he must have created me to think and believe what I do, and therefore create me in such a way for me to doubt his existence. This must then also apply to people of other religions, if god is the creator, then he must have created them to believe in another god.
We do follow what's in it.

Are you some kind of faggit boy? I don't love everything around me, number one being islamofascist terrorists, and number two is pansy boys like yourself who don't have a brain in their heads, just some mushed up telletubby and barney baloney about loving everyone. If God wanted you to love everyone he would have given you a penis AND a vagina.

I'm not sure why you think we would destroy you. God will take care of that during the End Times when He resurrects you and the rest of the nonbelievers, so that He can cast you into the lake of fire where you will endure unfathomable torments for all eternity.

    Revelation 20:12-15
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

It doesn't have to be this way for you though. The LORD brought you here for a reason. It's not too late for you to accept Christ as your personal LORD and Savior, that you may have your name written alongside ours in the Book of Life, that you may join us for all eternity in Heaven, praising God.

As long as you still suck air, you have a chance to make something worthwhile of yourself and become a Christian. But after death, there is only the Judgment and hellfire for you.

    Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

    II Corinthians 6:1-2
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Doesn't eternal life and abundant joy in Heaven sound like a better alternative than the path you're on?

Welcome friend, Yes, the Bible does instruct us to live in a manner that pleases God. after all, we are His. The only key aspect you need to know is only what He wants matters. You'll get what is coming to you.

Indeed, if more atheists understood like you, we wouldn't have these terrible gay sodomy "marriages," we would recognize the importance of punishing the non-virgin bride, and finally lay to rest that whole stupid "bats are mammals" controversy.

Ok that's fair enough, I did make the bible sound a bit basic sorry. But I say that I still stand by my belief that the bible is a guide of how to live your mortal life. Whether you be Christian or (like myself) an atheist I don't think matters, it is a good book whether you see it as a way into heaven or a refuge in dark time doesn't matter I believe. It is the good word and its message that is important. It teaches the reader how to be a good person and respect and love everything around you

Maybe you should try reading the whole thing instead. Try the links in my signature!

It's not a philosophical work, friend. It is not a "guide for people on how to live their lives". It's a combination of history, poetry, and over 600 Commandments of God's that we are to obey if we wish to spend eternity praising Him for His perfection, singing hymns and glorifying Him forever and ever without ceasing.

The alternative, of course, is to be resurrected to eternal life, and then cast into His Lake of Fire, where we (by which I mean you) will be burned alive for all eternity, unable to die and unable to escape.

Perhaps you should start by reading the Bible. KJV, that is.

I found upon reading the Bible that my eyes were opened to the Truth about God and Jesus. No longer needed I to wonder my fate upon death. No worries about heaven or hell! Wouldn't you like that certainty too?

You could also try reading the thread for NOOBs.
