When you say God's Word is not "superficial", not to be taken "literally", and it portrays a "broader" meaning, do you mean it is cryptic and vague? Only fools and crooks write that way. Are you saying God is a fool or a crook?

no i think you should get a dictionary and look up the meanings of those words as well as the context they were used in , its easy to take things out of context for example your post you said " God is a fool " do you think god is a fool ? very very simple technique. It doesn't matter how much you edit the Bible, make up stuff that you'd prefer to be true or whatever, it doesn't actually make it true.

If Matthew 4:8 by itself is not true, show where in the context of Matthew 4 it is contradicted.

Hmm, how about this? The man I was with was a Christian, faithful and true, maybe even more so than many of you, that's what drew me to him. We went to church every sunday, we prayed every meal, and I cooked every meal! I never showed any skin, never let him see me change or use the bathroom/shower. I knew he had unfaithful friends, druggies and the sorts who liked to sodomize young girls. This isn't just an Oregon thing, it's a world thing. There isn't a "Godly" place on this planet. Also, it's called Beaverton, because Beavers, the mammal that is, is a symbol of industry and growth, and Beaverton Oregon is a national symbol of technological and societal growth. We are the city with many proactive and faithful Christian churches where the houses all look the same in suburban boredom. I was never a slut, I never wanted to have sex before marriage, but just like he did for his 3 friends who also used me, he'd wait until I was very tired and when I made my tea that would help me sleep, he'd drug it with something, I don't even know what, then he had his way with me or let his friends have the ride. I was completely unaware when I awoke, until the one day a True Christian friend of his brought me to his house and waited for me to wake up, telling me that the man I thought I loved was actually using me. I left him in a heartbeat, and it was the smartest decision I made. Only until later did I find out he had been pounding a street slut on his free time and had given me the disease that he got from her. I was faithful, I was clean, I even thought I was a born again virgin, but he stole that from me. It was of no fault of mine except maybe stupidity that I stayed with him that caused me to be sterile, but that's what the devil does, he takes Christians and uses them to violate pure Christian girls and even boys. God created evil, and God lets the devil sway us from him, but I was tempted by him, not the other way around. Just because I am female, doesn't mean I am the devils pawn, and I'd say that in the face of any man!

There are about 1B Roman Catholics in the world.

There are also about 1.6B Muslims, so Muslims must be closer to God than Catholics.

There are about 1.1B nonreligious people, so the nonreligious must be closer to God than Catholics.

There are about 1B Hindus, so they must be just about as close to God as Catholics.

Isn't it good to know that Catholics are farther from God than Muslims, atheists, and Hindus?
