Re: I Like Kissing Boys and Want a Career in Blowing Things Up
Friend, you live in an unmarried situation with a female, a sin. That is considered rape in the eyes of the Lord.

Uh, no, it's a title.... I call him Christ for the same reason I would call someone Smith. It is their name...
Christ (Greek Χριστός (Khristós) 'anointed') is a translation of the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַ (Māšîaḥ), the Messiah, and is used as a title for Jesus in the New Testament.

So what's your favourite Bible verse?Originally posted by JustinSane View PostBravo on who renamed my post. Its clever.
ok, to answer the questions posed as I remember them. 1) I dont use the Bible itself to prove the existence of Christ. Its an indisputable historical fact that he did live. I call him Christ for the same reason I would call someone Smith. It is their name. 2) I do not want to blow up the states, I want to work for the State Dept. trying to find a solution to this mess we have found ourselves in. 3) I dont have any sins i need to forgive myself from. I am a happy person with no animosity towards any God. I just do not believe any of this is true. 4) "Good evening, Clarice" is a quote. It was said by Dr. Hannibal Lector in the movie "the Silence of the Lambs"

Re: Good evening, Clarice
This is because you lost the battle against sin and chose to embrace it, rather than turn to God for help.Originally posted by JustinSane View PostI lost any and all faith in the christian doctrine around my 14th birthday and have yet to be swayed from that opinion.
Son, whatever filthy sin makes you now hate God can be overcome. I began to develop homosexual tendencies about this age and soon after made the choice to be queer full time. I also hated God because I knew he did not create me to chase after the rectums of anonymous men, but the sodomy was more important to me than my righteous place in eternal hellfire.
But when I bottomed out in the gutter, as all homos will inevitibly find themselves, I broke down in tears and asked Him to help a wretch like me. Twenty years plus now, fag-free and saved!
Tell us what wickedness stains your soul. Is it sexual sin? Chemical dependency? Shoplifting? We have heard it all and can help with the love of God.
In Jesus Christ

Typical ingrate.
After all the Republican party and God have done for you. You want to suck the life out of America and become a terrorist. You'll want to be back for Social Security and Medicare in 40 years. Have fun in Gitmo, Abdul.
We'll leave the light on for you.

Re: Good evening, Clarice
Why do you refer to Jesus as "Christ" (ie. Messiah) if you reject His offer of salvation?Originally posted by JustinSane View Post...I am a bleeding-heart liberal, as i like to believe Christ was (who is an inarguable historic figure)...I recognize the possibility of a higher power, but do not think that if he does exist, he is accurately represented in the Christian Bible...
Why do you accept the Bible as evidence when it tells you Jesus was real, but reject everything else it says?

Welcome to God's favourite forum Clarice
What's your favourite Bible verse, what inspires you?
The one inspiring me today is:
Genesis 27:7
Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death.

I Like Kissing Boys and Want a Career in Blowing Things Up
Okay, time for a quick introduction. First of all, I am 19, male, and currently residing in Atlanta. I was born in rural Kentucky and graduated high school in Knoxville, Tennessee. I was raised southern baptist and am now attending a methodist university. I have read the bible more times than I am able to count and was saved when I was around 12-13. I attended my church three times a week, more when there were special occasions, and was nearly done with earning the Timothy award from AWANA (for those who dont know, the award is for children who have memorized the bible in its entirety, broken into sections) until they changed the system and i was forced to restart.
And that should be all of the things that you will be pleased about. I lost any and all faith in the christian doctrine around my 14th birthday and have yet to be swayed from that opinion. Generally, I am better versed in the Bible than the ministers who attempted to convert me and have yet to lose a debate on the topic. I am a bleeding-heart liberal, as i like to believe Christ was (who is an inarguable historic figure). I am a political science major at Emory University, currently ranked 20th by Newsweek. I am studying Arabic and hoping to find a job in international relations in the Middle East. I live a life nearly counter to the fundamental christian doctrine, and enjoy it. I live with my girlfriend of two years, have kissed another guy before, support the President and have spent the last few months laughing myself to tears whenever Santorum opened his mouth. I do not believe in the concepts of hell, of free will, or good an evil. I recognize the possibility of a higher power, but do not think that if he does exist, he is accurately represented in the Christian Bible. Satan is a myth that mothers tell children to make them behave.
So there we are, a small biography of myself. I hope to have some entertaining and hopefully enlightening conversations with you guys. Have at you!
