Re: Unsaved Trash
This talk about there being a discrepancy between Gen 1 and 2 is ridiculous.
The beginning of Gen 2 is the end of Gen 1.
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Verses 4-6 are a quick recap of what just happened. Starting at verse 7 is where we are on a close up view of the sixth day. This is where God lines up every single living thing to be named. He forms them out of the dust for Adam to name them. They were already created as Gen 1 tells us. God was simply doing it over again, so Adam could name them.
After all that naming, God causes Adam to fall into a deep sleep and He takes Adam's rib to form Eve. It's how they were formed on the same day as Gen 1 tells us.
All we did is go backward in time again to a specific point within the Gen 1 facts.
It all makes perfect sense if you simply read it a little out of order.
