    17 years of atheism.. i am now free

    Hello, I want to make a short introduction.

    I been browsing the Landover Baptist forums for some time and it's been really helping me understand about the power and love of God. I really thank the Lord that the Christian community is still alive and thriving, even on the internet.

    For 18 years (since birth) I have been lied to by those closest to me - my atheist parents and my family. As I grew up, I have been told countless lies by the schools and the "science books" that change every single year. For example, the age of the earth 100 years ago was probably 2 billion years, and now it's like 4.5 billion years. It makes no sense to me how the Earth can age 2.5 billion years in just 100 years. These inconsistencies made me wonder - why trust anything at all the scientists have to say?

    After I turned 18 a friend of mine invited me to church and I came to really see the true love of Christ. I repented and accepted Lord Jesus Christ as my savior and my life has never been the same. God has been working for many years now, showing me the truth and the light. It took a while to clear my mind of past "delusions" that the schools infected me with, but with prayer, fasting, and thoroughly reading the Bible (and not what "science" has to say) I have mended my broken mentality to shape it to Jesus' liking.

    I'm looking to learn a lot more from this great community!

      Are you sure you were an atheist the whole time? Didn't you ever wonder who created everything?

        I used to think the "big bang" created everything, but delusions can be very infective, especially when you surround yourself by like-minded people. I did wonder who created everything, because it seemed almost like a fairy tale what the "evolutionists" propose. I just naively went along with it until I started asking questions at the core. After a while, the whole idea that we came from rocks just didn't seem real. I praise the Lord that I have learned the truth though!

          What church do you attend now? Which of the many wonderful Bible verses is your very favorite? Have you made arrangements to get married and provide Christ with a quiver full of souls and will you homeschool them all for the Glory of God!

            Welcome friend! The wonder of God's creation is even more amazing once we understand that He alone created it in six days out of nothingness just over six thousand years ago.

            As a renowned Scientheist, I am constantly flabbergasted by the theories put forward by the secular scientific community. Claiming that we live in a heliocentric solar system, that the Grand Canyon was formed by erosion, and that dinosaurs died out millions of years ago is just silly. Any rational person can see that God created our earth for us by simply looking out a window and gazing at the wonder and perfection of His divine plan.

              I am so delighted to see that CHRIST has penetrated your soul and brought you here to us, that we may shape you into a respectable member of society.

              You are one of many I have seen brought to the Foot of the Cross by the wonders of GOD's design. And wonders they are! I was just marveling at how well my Intelligently Designed hand fits over my computer mouse, and then you appeared proclaiming GOD's glory!
