No friend, you are not following Gods wishes. He understands that from time to time, we will have a demoncrat in the White House (Though I imagine he never considered we'd have a mooslim). God knows, the work we can do while incarcerated is nothing compared to the True Goodness© we can do 'on the outside'. So God tells us to follow Biblical law UNLESS secular law forbids it. Now any good Christian knows that everything a person does is between him and Jesus so if the government is unaware of something, they cannot unjustly persecute you for it.
    Romans 2:14-15
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another

    Romans 13:3
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

    Romans 13:8-10
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

    Romans 3:20
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

    Matthew 5:10
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
    Matthew 5:11
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
    Matthew 5:44
    But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

My name is Porter, thank you.

I do actually live near Truckee. I choose to stay "off the grid" on the internet because I don't trust the current government. I have been watched by law enforcement before for various reasons, all of which came from spreading God's word in ways that are, unfortunately, deemed to be on the fence between legal and illegal.
So you are a liar, you do not know God's Word well enough to live lawfully and are an admitted criminal. Wonderful.

Romans 13:1-2 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation."

As far as I know the Bible doesn't condemn this and the Pastor at my church has supported this so I can continue to serve God fully. YiC, Jeremiah
    Guess again.

Proverbs 12:19 "The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment."

I have been married for 23 years. We have 4 boys aged 4, 9, 11 and 21 and one 17 year old girl. Thankfully all are excellent Christians and none have strayed to homosexuality or atheism. The 21 year old is newly married and we are expecting a grandchild soon. Im proud of that since it's no small feat living in Godless California. My parents were also good Christians and raised me well. As a child my father was quick to crush any doubts I had about religion. He was a pastor at the Faith Baptist and I can only hope to serve our Lord as well as he did. The pastor of my church is John Marshall. Do you know him?

    Praise God for this forum

Hello Christians, I am delighted to have found this forum. My name is Jeremiah Gray and I am a 42 year old electrician from Arcadia, Michigan. I grew up attending the Faith Baptist Church in Benzonia. Currently I live in Truckee, California and attend the First Baptist Church here. I think I set up my signature to show my favorite Bible verses, but just incase it didn't work. My favorite verses are: Isiah 44:6 "Thus saith the Lord the king of Israel and his redeemer the Lord of hostes, I am the first, and I am the last, and besides me there is no God." John 1:1 "That which was from þe beginning, which wee haue heard, which wee haue seene with our eyes, which wee haue looked vpon, and our hands haue handled of the word of life." Colossians 2:9 "For in him dwelleth all the fulnesse of the Godhead bodily." These are my 3 favorite verses that prove the existence of God and Jesus and I use them whenever I meet a non-believer. Feel free to ask me any questions. I hope to get to know you as well. YIC, Jeremiah
