Let's not pray for that, OK?

Reverend Rodimer is not being completely forthcoming with you, dear. Yes, he is telling the truth when he says he never prayed for 20/20 vision, but what he's leaving out is that he already has 20/20 vision.

You see, being an unmarried pastor, and being as good-looking as he is, the good Reverend sometimes finds himself in the uncomfortable position of having to fend off advances from silly female parishioners who've let their hormones get the better of them.

The glasses are simply an attempt to make himself look less studly.

I don't think it's working, though. Maybe if he's lucky, the Lord will afflict him with boils on his face.

Is there? To which passage of Scripture do you refer, dear friend?

Young lady, I do not know if 'ostentation' is a required course at the public school you attend halfheartedly but I am becoming somewhat miffed.
    You have ignored my comments.
You have refused to apologize to poor Mrs. Etheldreda. Even though she is just a woman, she has feelings too.

What is wrong with you kids and your hatred of God's Impeccable Word®?

I never prayed for God to give me 20/20 vision.

    You did.

    You didn't get it.

So, please answer my question. Did Jesus ignore your prayer because you are unsaved, or did He lie when He said "all things"?

    Thank you.

Did you ever consider the possibility that the Rev. Rodimer perhaps chooses to glorify God by displaying the Godly creation of eyeglasses? He is conscious of the fact that so many people are upset about their eyesight that he chooses to join them, to display that one can both wear glasses and be dashingly handsome? There are plenty of options, stop dodging!

If by "rough" you mean "just" and "morally perfect," then I wholeheartedly agree!

Which means we here at Landover Baptist Church Forum are equally just and morally perfect since we but illuminate the very Words of God Himself.

Which is it? Has to be one or the other. The only other possibility would be Jesus not existing, and we've already ruled that out.

God made deaf people deaf expressly so they do not know what people are saying. I find it deploable you think you should go behind His back and and torment these deformed people.

Wearing glasses because I cannot see properly and I used to pray for perfect 20/20 but there is no point, if God didn't hear me the first 20 times what makes you think he will the next? He probably has bigger problems
I never knew there was a cut off for praying. You demanding attitude is exactly why God did not grant your prayer. He could tell you were just wasting His time with a half hearted prayer.

I dont plan to get married any time soon, also I havent seen any cubans ever. yeah florida does have the highest old person per percent in the US but I doubt the majority are jewish, christianity is very strong here in the south.
All I ever see in Boca or Miami are wetbacks, joos and other ethnic people. I never see a decent Christian. Where do you live that is so pure?

    Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

That's Jesus speaking, there. He didn't say "If you ask for important things", but "all things".

I'm concerned that perhaps you do not believe. You know what happens to the unbelieving, right?

Welcome friend, seems I a bit late to the party. To make a long story short, a field boss nigra got into a squabble with a beaner.
    John 18:36
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Being you are living in joo land, you must see fignts all the time.
