Oh yeah, let's just all snap our fingers in unison until Christ appears.

Lindsey, it's time to get out of the sandbox. You seem like a nice girl. But if you think you can just pick peanut butter and jam out of a tree you got it dead wrong.

What do you think? That you can just be "sold" into an arranged marriage with an angel who lives in a castle and throws rose petals on you while you swim in a pool of 10% cream?

Are your parents so mean to you that you just can't stand this world?

Have you ever thought about Christ?? Nailed to a cross until he died. When he begged of thirst they gave him a sponge full of vinegar. They gambled for his clothes. They stabbed him in the ribs when he showed pain. Then when his suffering was finally over he was laid on a slab of concrete.

You insufferable slut. I'll spend my 30 bucks on a chimp.

    Well hi there Lindsey.

Firstly welcome to the forum. Secondly please give brother Deaner a chance. As a True Christian he is exemplary, as a housekeeper he just needs a good Christian woman to do what needs to be done in line with The Holy Bible (KJV 1611). Give him a break, once you get to know him, like all of us here, you will come to love him.

Read this and think about it:

    Ephesians 5:24

Therefore as the Church is subiect vnto Christ, so let the wiues bee to their owne husbands in euery thing.

Yes, of course I pray. That is how I came to the conclusion of what I seek but only to seek out help in finding it, which is how I came here. I dont know anyone qualified spiritually to help.

Now Lindsey, let's not put the cart before the horse as they say. We need to focus on your personal relationship with Jesus. Do you pray to Him every day? Do you listen to what He tells you in reply? If you have truly been to your knees in front of Him, He will solve all of your problems and answer your questions.

1 John 5:14-15 "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."

    In Christ

I generally find that womenfolk can't process one question, let alone two.

You just keep that lip in check young lady, the pastors are praying for guidance right now.

One thing's for certain, Jesus hates uppity females.

Please ignore this drooling harpy. She's a prime example of why women should never, ever, be allowed to speak without the approval of their husbands.

What makes you think it is sarcasm? Last time I visited Deaner, his house was most certainly a mess, so if anyone is in need of a decent Christian wife, it is Deaner!

Thanks everyone for your advice and even the sarcasm in the last reply. I attend a southern baptist church and my favorite verse is 1 Peter 3:1-2. I know it's about marriage but I kind of apply it to my parents.

Well Lindsey, the best way for a marriage to be arranged for you is to ask a Pastor to help you and select a suitable man.

Basically I googled "Christian arranged marriage" and this was one of the first sites that came up. I am II a weird situation. I am much more conservative than my parents or my church and I truly believe in and desire the idea of a arranged marriage. I don't know how to meet someone like minded and I dont want to date around anyway. Maybe that's why I never dated. My parents however are not like that so what do I do? I want to be "sold" in a sense by have no one to arrange such a thing. I can't arrange my own marriage!! You all are luck to not be stuck in a family who are not believers.
    Welcome, young lady.

As a doctor with my own house and two cars I can see exactly where you are comming from here, I expect.

What you need to do if contact one of the Pastors at Landover to have them point you in the right direction of the most eligible recently single bachelor of our most inclusive church.

I'm sure the Pastors would be able to easily identify such a fitting man for you to become a help meet to.

    Genesis 2:18
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

    Genesis 2:20
And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Now I must cut this short as my next patient has arrived for therapy at the practice I manage.
