Child's world is much different, and just because they are so innocent, pulling a trigger is a game to them, and some do it out of curiosity. They don't know better, because they just started to learn.

What you're failing to appreciate is that most people who consider themselves "Christian" really aren't. They heard some nice stories in Sunday school about how Jesus loves everyone and just wants us to be happy.

That's what they believe Christianity is because they've never read the Bible.

None of the people spreading these lies (their priests, preachers, pastors, reverends, whatever name their denomination attaches) want to cure them of their ignorance and show them the real God and Jesus of the Bible. The real God, who condemns us all from birth for sins He gave us (ever wonder how a serpent could infiltrate the Garden of Eden to tempt Eve into eating the fruit, under the ever-watchful eye of an omniscient Creator?). The real God, who opened the earth under the feet of 250 men (and their wives, children, livestock, tents, etc.) who'd committed the grievous sin of offering incense at the wrong time. The real God, who drowned every living thing on the face of the Earth (except for eight people and some animals on a boat) because He was unhappy?

If they'd open their eyes and actually read the Bible and see the things that God does in that book (like demanding that rape victims marry their attackers), do you think they'd be happy to plunk their asses in the pew (and give "offerings" for the privilege) week after week while knowing that God is not going to give them eternal life (because they are sinners)?

That kind of false Christianity doesn't make people better, it just makes them think they are.

True Christians™, on the other hand, have read the Bible. The whole thing. They know it's essentially a contract. They know what God demands, and the penalties He'll apply in case of non-compliance with any of the more than 630 commandments contained therein.

Denying the existence of God is not unbelief but an exercise in self-deception. You may know things, but you cannot account for anything you know. Arguing against God's existence would be on par with arguing against the existence of air, breathing it all the while. You use the universal, immaterial, unchanging laws of logic, mathematics, science, and absolute morality in order to come to rational decisions, but you cannot account for them. These laws are not the only way God has revealed himself to you, but they are sufficient to show the irrationality of your thinking, and expose your guilt for denying Him.

There is a reason that you deny the existence of God and it has nothing to do with proof. I can show this to you. Do you think that you can continue to deny God because surely somewhere, sometime, a philosopher or scientist will come up with an explanation for universal, immaterial, unchanging laws apart from God?' Did you ever try to come up with an alternate explanation on your own?

Hoping that an alternate explanation for universal, immaterial, unchanging laws can someday be found apart from God, is a blind leap of faith, or wishful thinking. Isn't it interesting that this is exactly what professed unbelievers accuse Christians of?

God created this world. God has decided what is moraly good and evil. God has made it simple for us. He has... in his infinite wisdom... written it down for us in the Bible. It couldn't be easier. Yet you question his word? Why is that? Don't you believe God created the Bible?

But back to your suggestion about guns. Do you not see that the majority of people who get shot to death are worthless sinners and frankly the world is a better place without them.

Oh yes, some kids do get shot from time to time but this is (a) God’s Way of telling us to be careful with guns – a typically Godly hard but effective lesson (b) statistically, at least 10% of those kids would have ended up doing jail time.

So it’s not all downside like you seem to indicate.

It wasn't our decision. It was God's decision, but of course, we support it. God decided to send an emissary of justice to take lives of children because of the gays and their ruining this country (wouldn't be the first time he's done it - see Numbers 31:15-18; 2 Kings 2:24).

God's justice is tough, but God knows best.
