  • Hi from Finland!

I'm a 17-year-old Christian from Finland. I have to live in a very unchristian community here, as the State Evangelical Lutheran Church is becoming too liberal and the parliament is passing through unchristian laws. Also, most of the people I know are either agnostics, atheists or otherwise pagans. Gladly my father is a Christian.

Although I'm not officially a Baptist, I came here because Baptist principles mostly resemble mine

So, may the Lord bless you and may your sins be forgiven in the name of Jesus Christ. I hope I'm accepted here.
"Father, into Your hands I commend my spirit." (a portion of Luke 24:46)
#1 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
#2 "And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Oh, sorry. I almost forgot how I found Christ. I've almost always been a Christian. I found Christ as a little child when my parents introduced me to Him. Then I met science at school and almost forgot God, but He saved me during my orientation camp. I was never baptized before my own decision after the orientation camp.

Hello and welcome to our friendly forums!

What can we call you, friend? My name is Mary.

Tell us, what is your very favorite Bible verse? Which one does Jesus speak to you through?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Hej och välkommen, Björn, as you say there in Finland.

Whats your favourite Bible verse? What made you join the forum of God's own Church? Since you are from Finland, i would also like to know which part of Sweden you live in.

My name is Otto. It's a pretty rare Finnish name. I have two favorite Bible verses actually, they are probably also the most known ones:

"And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1 Corithians 13:13)

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

There are also many other Bible verses that I like of course. You'll get to know them in time. It takes time to find them as I have a Finnish Bible.

I joined the forum as all other forums and Finland are full of hateful atheists and pagans. This is the only forum where I can be understood as a follower of the Lord.

Sweden is a pretty hated nation among the Finnish youth... I've had to see that. I don't like studying Swedish but neither I actually hate Sweden.

And don't take that as I wouldn't like the whole Bible. I love the Bible and Jesus Christ and don't understand how can there be so many unsaved people among the Creation. I'm alone with my faith... That's why I came to the internet.

Now, that cannot possibly be true. Admit it, you'd jump at the chance of coming to the US of A. You know, you could get a job on a steamer, and jump ship at Norfolk. I'd pick you up and you could work at my farm.

I sent one of my grandsons to Mr Hutchins farm for 'work experience', and it made a new man out of him! He's been a good boy ever since, and particularly attentive to my livestock, which I do appreciate.

He often quotes Lamentations 3:19-24, when I question him about his placement,

"Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him."

                            Praise HIM!
