Classic. A Jesus-hater cherry picks a verse out of the Bible and thinks he's scored some imaginary internet points.

Keep reading to the end of Leviticus 25. This guy should come and be my hired servant. Oh, but that doesn't fit in with your brilliant plan, now does it?

I am very sorry to hear of your misfortunes, Brother. It's possible you've just caught God™ on a bad day...do you know how hard His™ job is? Do you know how disheartened and betrayed He™ must feel sometimes, when He™ seems man/womankind running amock with sin?

Perhaps you can take comfort in the fact that He™ has not killed you? (see below) It is something.

Genesis 8:21And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

On the other hand, it is just possible that you have been born pre-destined for damnation. I will say prayers that this is not so.

Psalm 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
Proverbs 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Hello LaflamaBlance. You say we are in an age where people care more about killers and thieves and liars and that is probably true but it does not matter what people think it matters what Jesus thinks. Here is what He said in Revelation 21: 7-8:

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

So all you need to do is overcome your temporary setbacks and He will take care of those people. Keep your chin up.

    Thank you.

    Rusty

@ LaflamaBlance I have some help for you. Your original post contained this mistake: "I know god loves my family and i" A lot of people will see that 'God' and 'I' should be capitalized, but in this case you should not have used 'I' at all, you should have said "...my family and me."; A good way to check yourself is to take away the addition to yourself. One would never say "I know God loves I" now would they, of course not, they would say "I know God loves me". So in point of fact you should have said " I know that God loves my family and me." I hope this bit of help sets you on the right path to providing for your family. God bless you, brother.

Speaking as a former crystal meth addict, I'd like to warn everybody that this fellow's user name is chili-pepperese for "the white flame." That's a slang word for a crack torch.

I think we know where all his money's going.

    Psalms 37:25

I haue bene yong, and now am old; yet haue I not seene the righteous forsaken, nor his seede begging bread.

Take note of this. If you had been righteous and strong in your faith then you would still have a job. This is what happens when you turn your face from the Glory of the Light of God.

I will say a prayer for you and hope that God will find it in His heart to forgive you your transgressions.

I will leave you to ponder over this little gem as it seems that you have more thoughts for materialistic things than those of the spirit.

    1 Timothy 6:10

For the loue of money is the root of all euill, which while some coueted after, they haue erred from the faith, and pierced themselues through with many sorrowes.

Financially strapped yet he has a good internet connection.

Even the inventor, Al Gore, knows well enough to not fritter the important things away. You do know, Jesus sees you being a hypocrite and He will treat you accordingly.

God only helps those that help themselves.
    Philippians 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

    2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

I'll pray for you friend, though I'll need a receipt for tax purposes.

Friend, God wants to help you.
Could you imagine Jesus crying on the cross, going 'Poor Jesus Christ!"? Of course not. Three days later, He pulled Himself out of that cave and got to the business of Saving Humanity™.

Dear, why are you attempting to thwart the Good LORD's plan by begging for money? It seems to me, and granted I am no theologian nor pastor, but it seems to me that the appropriate response would be to embrace your new found poverty and rejoice in the LORD, for His ways are righteous.

The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Yet you can't bother to capitalize His name?

Young man, I'm very well acquainted with Pastor Jerry Mick at Bangor Baptist and he tells me he hasn't seen you in his pews since you were 17. What irresponsible sin has ruined you financially? Credit cards? Online poker? Adult bookstore purchases?

    Come clean, son.

Again , thank you to everyone who has responded.

Although this might not be the best spot for my post, it is a great place for me to share my thoughts and concerns with others who share my faith in god.

I will pray for all of you & continue to pray for our family. I know things will look up . I know this is all part of god's plan . I have been running around town(s) today filling out applications and coming up with ways to get out of this mess.

I appreciate the support i have gathered here , and i hope this website will become a solace where i can continue to gain knowledge and faith.

    Until next time,

    God Bless You all.

Really? Who. What church? I doubt this is true and you know that lying is one of the big 10 no-no's

Please see the scripture above. It seems that you do not have enough Faith in the Lord Thy God

The Lord helps those who help themselves. And as the Word of God teaches, the righteous are not bread beggers (see Psalm 37:25). If you are here for other than spiritual food, you have come to the wrong place.

I will pray for you. Maybe I can post more later, but right now the repairman is here to fix the windsheild on my BMW.

    Warm regards and best wishes,

    Pastor Ed
