Hello christians, ive joined these forums, not because i'm a christian, or i want to be saved, but simply enjoy a nice discussion about religion and the nature of god. Im an athiest, dont believe in god, and never have.

My christian history? Alright.
My parents were born and raised christian, and so was I. My crisis of faith came when I was 14 I think. This was just after i recovered from a serious depression. I went to the church with my family, and listened to the Pastor rant about how all non-Christians will burn in hell, and all Christians will go to heaven. While at church, I thought this:
God doesn't reward the good people, and punish the bad. He rewards the people who believe in him, no matter what they've done, and everybody else he punishes. That was the turning point.
I completely gave up Christianity, and the belief in god when i came across an old very christian woman beating the crap out of a young boy because he had said "bless you" and not "god bless you" when she sneezed. Yes, the boy was white and christian, so was the old woman.

Aleska, we are not here for your amusement. If I'm going to have a conversation with you about God, it's not going to be so you can enjoy the process. The only thing I care about is whether you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and I don't give a flying fig how we get to that point. If I have to lie to you, scream at you, belittle you, threaten you, shame you, trick you, confuse you, lay a guilt trip on you, make you feel terrible about yourself...

Heck, if we were speaking in person, physical coercion and sleep deprivation wouldn't even be off the table.

My dear uninformed God mocker. Try picking up The Holy Bible (KJV 1611) and reading it. You might just learn something you didn't know.

Now, how peaceful and compassionate does this sound:

Jeremiah 13:14

And I will dash them one against another, euen the fathers and the sonnes together, saith the Lord: I wil not pitie nor spare, nor haue mercie, but destroy them.

God is not the fluffy bunny that you have been told about.

He is a vengeful God and if you step over the line there are grave consequences.

2. I dont read the bible, because even if it was original god's word, it has been in the hands of humans who changed it, and added to it to server their political goals.

3. No hes not a fluffy bunny, and i know that. However i know for a fact that he preaches free will and tolerance.

4. Have i stepped over the line? Because if i have, i haven't noticed any grave consequences. In fact, my life had gotten far better since i left god and Christianity behind.

2. The Holy Bible (KJV 1611) is the Only True Word of God. It has not been tampered with in any way, shape or form.

3. Yes, God is extremely tolerant. In fact He is so tolerant that He tells us to kill homosexuals.

1. I'm not refusing to believe in him i simply don't. If god/jesus came down here or you proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that god exists i would believe in him. However, Christianity has lost me forever.

Why dont we go through the claims youve made?

I could go on and on, from what i see of you, youve made lots of claims, yet have backed none of them up with actual evidence.

This is truly amazing. No one ever told you about hyperlinks!? You need to ask someone in your surroundings, by that I mean someone not making moo sounds all the time as those are cows, to explain to you how a hyperlink works. As soon as you figure that out you will see that I always back up my statements with plenty of Biblical proof!
