Confinement? Honey moons
2 tablespoons honey
3 oz each of sugar and lard
7 oz self raising flour
2 eggs
1 tablespoon milk
Bare ½ teaspoon soda
2 teaspoons ginger
½ teaspoon cinnamon

Sift the flour with the soda and spices.
Cream the sugar and lard and beat in the eggs until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add milk and honey and, lastly, the flour.
Bake in round patty tins (greased) in a moderate oven.
