I don't harbor any anger, wrath, or malice. Nothing I said was blasphemous, nor was anything I said filthy.

Sometimes I wonder if life as an atheist might not be easier. Atheists seem to be happy in the main. They don't worry what will happen when they die. And they don't face God's test of us when we are still living - that test that makes us so unhappy. Sometimes I just wonder ..... What if God doesn't ...... But then, we know God is real. The Bible tells us so.

How very true. It's not easy being Christian. You're happy and relaxed when you don't have God in your life, and uptight and unhappy when you do worship God. But that's good. Our mortal life here is not important, even if we are unhappy, so long as we worship the Lord. It's all about securing our place in Heaven so that we have everlasting Life. Let's hope we're all going to be happy when we get there!

So... when Jesus called people vipers (Matthew 3:7), children of the devil (John 8:44), and fools (Matthew 23:17), that was an example that should not be followed...?

god wants us to follow him and i just quoted what god said not to do. and if god tells you not to do anything then you shouldn't do it. and he's god. he says what he wants to because he is the creator of heaven and the earth. he died for our sins so we could go to heaven and be with him. if god says something and he tells us not to say what he just said then we shouldn't say it because he's god and he can do whatever he wants. he's the boss, not us humans. (:

it is pretty strange. but this could be god's way of making me go to church and get closer to him because to be honest, when my anxiety was away and when i was finally happy again i didn't need god. i was all for myself and that's a sad thing because now i never knew how much i needed god. i guess i deserve the pain because i put god away all this time and now when i need him the most i feel like he's not gonna be there because i thought i was everything and gave in to all the popularity and the fame if that's what you wanna call it and didn't need god. i think i'm gonna keep on going to church because if i avoid it then i'm just gonna get worse and give in and let the church down. especially god.

No, it didn't. Also, Jesus often insulted people.

It's strange, isn't it. I don't know. I think it's something to spend some time thinking about though. It seems as though God doesn't want you to go to Church? Why? Maybe don't go for a little while, then see if that improves the situation?

so I guess i'm gonna try and introduce myself or whatever. i'm Nicole and i'm 20 years old. i have been in church for i guess since i was really young. its a freewill Baptist church. its really pretty. i sing in church all the time. I've been singing in church since i was 14 years old. it's been a struggle the past few months but i'm sure god will take care of it. my favorite bible verse is john 14:6 " jesus saith unto him, i am the way,the truth, and the life. no man cometh unto the father, but by me". so i guess that's all i have to say about me.

my anxiety attacks could be god telling me something but let me ask you something. why would god let me have a fear of GOING to church. church isn't a place of fear. and god clearly speaks against being intentionally anxious. so why would he place fear of going to church on me?

It's strange, isn't it. I don't know. I think it's something to spend some time thinking about though. It seems as though God doesn't want you to go to Church? Why? Maybe don't go for a little while, then see if that improves the situation?

Sister Mary, I feel that you may be on to something there. And this would explain her anxiety attacks when she goes to church. I think those anxiety attacks are the Lord God telling her something - that she doesn't come up to expectations, and that she's not a True Believer.

Clearly you don't. If you knew that, then you'd know that with genuine faith comes genuine and grateful obedience (John 14:15). Obedience includes the entire Law (James 2:10) as well as every command (1 John 2:5). This includes getting your snarky ass into some matrimonial situation whereby a man can suffer the inhospitable deed of impregnating you (1 Timothy 2:15). You obviously don't know this, which is why you keep harping on a single requirement as if it was all that is necessary.
