In Hark the Harold Angels Sing there is this line, "God and sinners reconciled."

That's ridiculous. God hates sinners. On top of that, think of who the sinners are: HOMERS. The Christmas Carol is saying "God and homers will be reconciled."

This is, indeed, the ugly truth of so called Christmas Carols.

The verse you have chosen does accurately depict the state of an unsaved person in the cesspit of depravity and sin. It is the startpoint. Without it any further development is impossible. As you now understand your sorry state, you are ready to start the treatment.

Read the Bible. Learn to know God. When you know Him you realize how terrible He is in His Wrath. You see that He can do anything to you and believe me - He will. He will cast you into eternal torment unless you repent. Through this fear you will repent and start to follow God's will and commandments. At first they seem irrational or cruel but gradually you will stop questioning and just accept God as He is. You begin loving Him and eventually feel the reciprocal conditional love of Jesus. You are born as a new creature that is free from sin. You CANNOT sin any more. You will see also the reward and it is a magnificent one, Heaven and eternal bliss with Jesus. Few choose this path. I'm sure you'll be one of them after this little conversation!



2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

False traditions can prevent you from choosing this path. Satanic songs can distract you into thinking that everything is all right and Jesus loves you the way you are. That is a lie. We are here to help you see the Truth™.

Yes. Harsha Shah here. I am also happy it is Christmas although it is not my religion's festivity. Yes. I am enjoying many Christmas carols as well and we are singing them every year with children at school. Yes. Many of them are very beautiful and happy songs, eh? I think you all must love Joy to the World as it is based on a Psalm 98 and it must be very godly to you christians. I also enjoy White Christmas. They are forecasting, however, a very cold winter here in the UK. Yes, a bit uncomfortable perhaps. But beautiful. This is a season of peace and non-violence, so happy!

We must ask, what is the joy Satan refers to? The answer: rejection of God as can be seen with this reversed text of verse 4:

Are you actually implying that saving souls would not be the most important and pressing issue EVER? We're discussing Eternity, eternal life, Heaven and Hell. Are you suggesting that there are better things to do than trying to save your sorry soul from the Furnace? All the work and material in this Forum are dedicated to this one thing only: worship of Jesus and education of sinners so that they could avoid damnation. This requires utmost dedication including thorough scrutiny of false Christian material, such as carols, as this is the season when Christ was born.

Actually, it was me who posted it. And if you'd read what I said, it has nothing to do with the Irish, other than I posted an Irish version of it. But trust you to leap on to the papist aspect. If you'd read what I posted, you would know that it's a song sung by Queens College, Oxford in England. Which is not papist. The college is even referenced in the words. I'm aware of the history of the song thanks to Wikipedia. The version you posted, however, was done in the Irish style. My love of Irish music has nothing to do with Catholicism, I love the way it is played, and I love the Irish accent. Also, Gaeilge is the most beautiful language I've ever heard.
