  • Stop the Audubon Society Christmas Day Bird Count

It burns me up the every Christmas morning, when I am contemplating going to church to hear the beautiful Christmas Story, I have to read about the stupid Christmas Day bird count. This practice of going out on Christmas Day and writing down how many birds are seen has been going on for decades and needs to end.

Look, I realize atheists are scum, but does the media have to cover them ridiculing the birth of Baby Jesus. It's as if counting birds are more important than the birth of the one who saved us. Anyone who thinks counting birds is the way God wanted you to spend the day of Jesus' birth has a holes in the head where brains are supposed to be:

Ít's been 120 years since New York ornithologist Frank Chapman launched his Christmas Bird Count as a bold new alternative to what had been a longtime Christmas tradition of hunting birds. “He realized that we were over-harvesting birds and something had to be done,” says Geoff LeBaron, who has led The National Audubon Society's massive community science effort for more than 30 years. The Christmas count has become one of the most important bird databases because of its scale and longevity.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Mr. Mayor I don't know why in the world anyone would want to go out and county birds. There's a whole lot of them and that's about all we need to know. Some people like to go out and shoot geese and ducks this time of year and I suppose I can understand it if they wanted to count up how many they shot, but there's no reason to just go around counting them. If someone got suspicious and called the Sheriff and he came and asked you what you were doing and you said you were counting birds, well I expect he'd arrest you for impertinence and carry you up to the jailhouse.

I'd rather get my birds down at the grocery store where they are all packaged and the feathers are already removed. And I hope no one brings me any of those geese they shoot because they taste like flying liver and I don't want any. No sir.

Not just Godless but also completely pointless, Brother Mr Mayor, Sir. From your link:
This year's bird count kicked off on Dec. 14 and continues through Jan. 5, 2020
How do they know the same birds aren't being counted over and over again? I mean, even if you're counting birds in your own back yard it's kind of difficult to work out how many there are. Because they don't keep still and - let's get real here - every sparrow looks pretty much like the next one. If they then fly over into your neighbor's yard, or maybe even to the next town, then over a three week period that bird is potentially going to be on dozens, if not hundreds of lists.

They'll end up thinking there are millions of birds in America!

Oh, and a righteous Merry mas to you, dear Brother Mayor Hold! I do thank you for raising this point about the birds, and how I agree that it is a waste of time for those less, bound atheists to try counting the birds. "Oh, look, Marjorie! There's another one. Or did we count that one already?" Goodness, why aren't these people realizing that only the good knows the correct answer about the number of birds that exist in this sinful world?

Matthew 10:29 "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father."

I am so happy that our blessed thinks so highly of us here at , and that He gives us worthwhile pursuits, such as glorifying Glorious Name. If only those atheists would get a clue and realize this, too!

Luke 12:7 "But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."

A blessed, Merry mas to you, dear Mayor Hold, and to all of our lovely members at ,
        Sincerely, Isabella W.

Amen! Birds are born every day, so many they get eaten by cats, other birds, and other things that don't mind feathers. You'd think these people would recognize the foolishness of watching animals that get born every day while ignoring the fact a God was Born in a Manger! I mean, how often do they think that happens?

One of our barns is currently almost entirely full of partridge and pheasant from the traditional Boxing Day shoot. Boxing Day is the day after Christmas Day - nobody knows why it's called that but it should probably be renamed Shooting Day or maybe Ripping to Shreds Day, as fox-hunting is also popular, if (technically) illegal. Anyway, we'll be enjoying game* for the foreseeable future.

              * The birds, not the foxes, obviously.

Here come the atheists again, trying to distract the world from the birth of baby Jesus. Don't be tempted to think you are doing something more important than church and prayer by counting stupid birds. Remember it's all an atheist trick.

If you want to count something, drive around your town and count the nativity scenes.

But, instead of counting anything, come to the Christmas Eve Service at Landover Baptist Church. Hear Pastor Zeke talk about your sin and how lucky you are to have learned about your sins before it is too late.

Amen, dear Brother Mayor Hold! Considering that those atheists are forever yapping about the Chinese flu "pandemic", and doing social distancing and all, one would think they would stay at home for a change, and mind their own business instead of conducting such silliness in public. Why, the only bird they need be concerned with is this one:

Birds hold a special place in the Atheist's "heart," being the creatures that their founder Chuck Darwin obsessively studied, probably with prurient interest, and because their precious "dinosaurs" supposedly "evolved" into them. Why anyone would want to do a census of the stupid creatures is beyond me. Once we Christians die and go to Heaven, we'll never see another soulless beast for the rest of eternity. If not for the beer and wings provided by the Lord for His faithful, we'd probably eventually forget their existence altogether.
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
                    Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

When you think about it, the event should change its name from "Audubon Christmas Day Bird Count" to "Atheist's Equinox Bird Count." From day one has been an insult to all of Christianity.
