The War Against Christmas actually starts at Thanksgiving. Many families have arguments about whether to serve meat or go vegan. If you are hosting a family Thanksgiving Dinner, shout back when some lefty in the family wants vegan. Tell them to bring vegan carry out. Then pile the ham and turkey high.

Some people accuse Christians of victim mentality when we defend ourselves against atheists, Muslims, Hindis, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (who pre-stole most of our ideas) and Pastafarians in the War of Aggression on Christmas. But I found out today it's even worse. Apparently the enemy is within. And they wonder why we stockpile guns...

It's past time than we go on the offensive and expand Christmas season beyond its traditional Nov 3 (when Starbucks switches cups) to Jan 6 (the betrayal of Pence) dates. From now on, I'm going to put up decorations on October 30th, subsuming the Devil's birthday, and extend it to February 15th to wipe out sin day.

The death of Charlie Kirk highlights once again the importance of have more guns in our country and more people who know how to use them. If a Godly armed Christian had been right there protecting Christians Charlie would be alive today.

The work of an enemy is easy to identify, some times more than others but in this case, very easy indeed. Foundational for any society are the ideas and objects building up common values and the infrastructure deriving from them – and these need to be taught. Education is therefore CRITICAL 1 and the first thing any self-respecting enemy must attack.

For example, in a seafaring culture where the staple diet is fish, knowledge of boats and fish is very important for a viable society. Education would focus on what a fish is, where they are found, how to cook them and so on. Higher education would introduce shipbuilding, the best materials to use and how to research better materials, methods of navigation, really I don't need to say this it's self evident but anyway . . .

When we see education under attack, we know it's the work of an enemy. Sure, standards may vary from one century to another and different subjects introduced, that's not the point. What we see today is a rapid and targeted assault on core educational methods: think whatever you like! There are many ways of knowing! Tarot cards are just as valid prayer and C. G. Jung just as valid an author as Moses or Luke. More valid, probably – but irrelevant in a brave new world where nobody can read. The enemy will read though.

It follows that in a Christian society, when God is attacked by reinventing education one way or another (it doesn't matter how, so long as it's brought down) the values represented in the Proverb will be reinvented too. But not for the first time. The opposite of Christ is savagery. Who but an enemy would want savages marauding all over the place with crackpot ideas like crystal gazing, poking one's eyeballs to see stars become enlightened and claiming that only through intoxication can we ever see reality? This is an enemy's work.

To be honest, I've been expecting some group to steal the birth date of Baby Jesus and use it for their own selfish purposes. I thought it would be the atheists or the Pagans. But this year it is happening and it is the Jews. Apparently, they think they can paper over the fact they killed Jesus and put a smiley face on their evil intentions. They are thinking people will just forget there ever was a Christmas Day.

By almost any measure the Puritans were obnoxious and insufferable - particularly at the time when King James I was getting the King James Bible (1611) done. In my mind the Puritans were righteously persecuted and forced to leave. Of course they chose to move to the Godly US and left to us do deal with. Fortunately today there are none of them left (Praise Jesus!).

While we're on the subject of Christmas, I can't help but note that one of the most popular Christmas songs of all time is "White Christmas" - penned by Jew composer Irving Berlin (who also wrote "God Bless America"). I like to think that Irving Berlin redeemed himself of being part of the Jews that killed Jesus.

III John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

God is clear here that external prosperity (a nice car, decent food and a well-stocked cellar) mirrors spiritual prosperity. But what about the poor whose souls do NOT prosper? Public transport exists for them, leading to the construction of bus terminals with waiting areas, transit zones and the inevitable muzak. Once upon a time there were cheesy (and therefore blasphemous) jazz compilations, seedy renditions on the mighty Wurlitzer organ of entirely secular selections, endless loops of vaguely familiar airs played on handbells etc., etc., 5 minutes without vomiting and you're more resilient than me. But now it's worse. Much worse. Looking for a "retro" theme and pandering to the clientele results in this sort of thing hour upon hour waiting for bus connections in bleak and lonely gloom. These are the ones most in need of The Good News. Now of course there are superficially wealthy individuals with rotten souls. Can they really be said to prosper? No. Theirs is the luxury of a predator, ever lusting for more, never having enough. And they do not travel by bus. I would be happy to contribute in support of a bus terminal witness (via the tannoy system) outlining WHY it had to be Jesus tortured in our place —— because elves did not visit His manger in Bethlehem, the very first Christmas of all.

Great idea, Sister Mitza. Why not replace "elevator music" played in malls, bland Christmas music, with Pastor Zeke sermons. Pastor Zeke blasting his message that sin will send you to hell will save many souls.

With good ideas on how and where to present our message we can defeat the enemy.

There is often music played in public places during the Christmas period that could be improved with a more direct Christian message. For example a so-called "hot" compilation of carols featuring a shiny human figure in hot pants may well contain words but the point is to focus attention on the limbs of the performer. Later, at a party where there is mistletoe, a friend turns up also dressed in hot pants and God is attacked as a result. I'd find that very offensive. Jesus came to set us free from sin - not to bring on a sin convention - and by highlighting the alternatives, if Jesus had not been born explicitly to be tortured to death, the persecution of Christians could be preempted especially on the dates suggested.

The Godless oriental people celebrate the New Year long and hard and if we can elbow our way into that, all the better.

When I was a boy we'd often leave up our Christmas lights year round. Nothing says class, sophistication, and "I love Jesus," quite like Christmas lights and an inflatable manger scene in July.

Each year our battle gets tougher. The entire world of non Christians tries to eliminate Christmas or make it into some pagan party time. We have to step on these people wherever they are or whenever they show up.

I think your idea of starting the sacred season in October and running it into the first week in January is a good one. The Godless oriental people celebrate the New Year long and hard and if we can elbow our way into that, all the better.
