The God-hating atheists at the "Freedom from Religion Foundation" can't just ignore Christmas. No, they want to destroy it.
Their latest atrocity?
This is their idea of an appropriate "non-theist" addition to the Washington Capitol's Christmas -- sorry, holiday displays.
Placed near the Nativity scene at the Capitol, and in full view of the Christmas -- sorry, Capitol Kids' Tree -- the ornament-free, businesslike sign contributes nothing to a festive holiday spirit. Even worse, it says nothing positive or uplifting, but rather attacks Christianity with insults:
What does Dan Barker, the dog who founded FFRF, have to say about it?
Methinks the FFRF hasn't a clue what hate speech is.
Update: The sign has been reported "liberated" by Godly Americans.
FFRF co-president Annie Laurie Gaylord says, "That’s what happens when you have a public forum on religion in a state Capitol."
It seems FFRF lost the referendum, eh?
Edit: Further update HERE. Seems the sign wasn't stolen at all; rather, it got tired of all the Christian symbols mocking it, and hitchhiked to Seattle.

Unlike the American Humanist Association's anti-God holiday campaign, this placard does not even try to celebrate the holiday -- excuse me, solstice -- season. It's a straightforward attack on Christianity, pure and simple.There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell.

Most people think December is for Christians and view our signs as an intrusion, when actually it's the other way around. People have been celebrating the winter solstice long before Christmas. We see Christianity as the intruder, trying to steal the holiday from all of us humans.
He continues,When people ask us, 'Why are you hateful? Why are you putting up something critical of people's holidays? -- we respond that we kind of feel that the Christian message is the hate message. On that Nativity scene, there is this threat of internal violence if we don't submit to that master. Hate speech goes both ways.
That's right, God's promise of eternal life serving Him in Heaven if you only believe in Jesus and stop sinning forever -- the true meaning of repentance is to genuinely apologize and then NEVER DO IT AGAIN -- is a hate message. The fact that He gives we lowly and worthless humans an opportunity to escape from our ordained destiny of eternal torture in the Hell He created for us, is a HATE message! Methinks the FFRF hasn't a clue what hate speech is.
