  • Christmas Dinner Traditions

Here at the Thumper residence I always serve:

    Appetizers:
    Stuffed mushrooms
    stuffed celery
    assorted pickles and olives
    chips and dip
    cock soup

    Dinner:
    Prime rib stuffed with lobster
    Roasted turkey
    Mashed taters
    gravy
    stuffing
    green bean casserole
    candied yams
    homemade rolls

    Dessert:
    Pumpkin pie
    apple pie
    banana cream pie
    banana foster
    homemade vanilla ice cream

Anyway, this year I tried a new version of cock soup and had one of my kitchen employees review it. I hope it's as good as he said. I did it all for my precious love, Pastor Zeke, and trust me HE knows a good cock soup!

    Re: Christmas Dinner Traditions

Well, traditionally the entire family would gather at Grandpa and Grandma Fore's on CHRISTmas morning to open our GODly presents, followed by a lovely home cooked meal of turkey, steak, fried chicken, fish, venison, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, stuffing, rolls, pumpkin pie, apple pie, lemon pie, coconut cream pie, chocolate pie, peanut butter pie, banana creame pie, frosted sugar cookies and little marshmellows.

That was back when I lived in Kansas. Now, a lot of the family is going to come here and I and Mrs. Fore will now be the traditional hosts of CHRISTmas. It's just as well because Grandma Fore has become rather forgetful in her old age as well as having certain bladder and bowel control problems, meaning she messes her Depends and forgets to change before serving dinner and everybody loses their appetites. Then she complains about leftovers.

Anyway, we will also be hosting a special dinner for our pastors and church officials at our GODly home this CHRISTmas Eve, and all you True Christian neighbors be sure to come!

Our schedule is planned as follows:

WEDNESDAY THE 24th AT BROTHER BOB4GOD'S HOUSE

7:00 PM: Bible study and worship time

    7:30 PM: Dinner served

    8:00 PM: After-dinner Bible study

8:30 PM: Popcorn and Bible games

9:30 PM: Gather round for a reading of "Santa Claus Did Not Die For Your Sins," read by yours truly.

We hope to see you all there!

      Re: Christmas Dinner Traditions

I had trouble reading all that because my brain kept getting distracted by my stomach. Why can't Christmas happen every day? Wouldn't that be a great way to honour our Lord?
