    DoF request: turkeys

    Friends, while the transition to JesOS 7 has been smoother than expected (thank you folks! ) the DoF reports that our TerrorScanner™ is highly sensitive to the word "Turkey" and starts to act like a pinball machine played by 25 OCD suffering midgets.

    Now, that alone would not be reason enough to consider a rename for the word; but the fact that the turkey (sorry DoF) is in fact a NATIVE AMERICAN ANIMAL makes it a no-brainer!

    Yes you heard that right!

    Even the sickular wiki confirms this:

    I realize we may be too late for Thanksgiving, and Pastor Zeke reminds me that ALL conditions for the Free Turkey (sorry DoF) still apply. Please experiment using the new name (i.e. : I just stuffed my Amerikey or "That turkey cock was delicious")

    Personally, I think it should be renamed to Amkey, or Amerikey , but we are open to suggestions.

    Perhaps we should stop eating the Turkey altogether in case they are Mooslim and start eating the Bald Eagle for Thanksgiving?
    after all, Benjamin Franklin wanted to make the Tur*ey the national Bird of the USA.

    Does anyone know what Bald Eagle tastes like?
    Chicken perhaps?
    Or maybe a bit Gamey like Barn Owl or Hawk?

      Up in Alaska Bald Eagles just hang around the trash dumpsters eating garbage.
      I'd never eat an eagle, might as well eat a buzzard!

      I also think it's a tad bit irreverent to call something you're going to eat America something. That's why we have french fries and English Muffins.

      We should call them eurokies.

              I always called it the 'Big Bird' But I agree, 'Liberty Bird' is even more appropriate.

                              Well friends, it seems that we are heading for a clear victory for Mr. Whitford's "Liberty Bird", as posted on his behalf by Mrs. Whitford.

                              Some people have complained that it sounds too much like "Liebral Bird", but I'd suggest that those people take their mind out of the gutter and start reading their KJV a little more.

                              The DoF is also totally happy with this name change.

                              So, unless someone comes up with a very good reason to disagree, I submit to you the new and glorious name from now on shall be Liberty Bird!
