  • Athian Police Ruin Mother's Christmas Shopping!

Well, even if it does sound like she's a neegroe!

From some silly Joo Yawk newspaper:

NY mom charged with leaving kids in car to shop

    Posted: December 18, 2009 - 8:02 AM

NEW YORK (AP) -- A Long Island mother is being accused of leaving her two young children in a car in the freezing weather while
she went shopping at a mall. Tanasia Perry, of Central Islip, was arraigned Thursday on two counts of child endangerment.
She's being held on $1,000 bond or $1,000 cash.

A passer-by called police after noticing the unattended 1-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy in a car parked at a Hicksville mall Wednesday night. Detective Sgt. Anthony Repalone told reporters Thursday the children were in the unheated car for about 30
minutes in the freezing weather and could have developed hypothermia.

The children were not hurt and their father took them home.

The 28-year-old mother is represented by Legal Aid. Her next court date is Monday.

I don't get it. I used to play out in the snow for hours, and I was just fine.

Sometimes, daddy would pick me up and slide me across the ice on the pond. Occasionally I'd break through, but it was always in good fun.

    Kids today are so weak!

The father took these "unhurt" children home with him? They should have been beat within an inch of their lives! They couldn't stay down and out of site in the back of the station wagon for 30 minutes while their mother - the woman from whos loins they came - was shopping?

Now their saintly mother must attend a court hearing and face prosecution and charges because two brats couldn't do what they were told to. And we are starting to hear more and more stories all the time of such bad little children...

I wonder why this cop isn't a doctor if he's so smart?

And if he was really smart he would have been a Doctor of Divinity. And that would have been one less of these silly sorts of situations you see every year around this time.

Could have developed hypothermia? Could have?

I don't get it. They didn't develop hypothermia. At that temperature and for that period of time they did not become hypothermic. What does he mean by could have? If the temperature was lower? But it wasn't. If the time period was longer? But it wasn't.

I could make an equally valid case for them dying of heatstroke, you know, if the temperature was higher, and they didn't have functioning sweat glands or they could have died of electrocution if there had been a thunderstorm and they were struck by lightning...

She should have locked them in the trunk. That way, nobody would've noticed nothing.

Re: Athian Police Ruin Mother's Christmas Shopping!

Like the rest of you, I'm outraged by this. If the ACORN-police gestapo keeps cracking down on parents who leave their kids in the car while shopping, this is really going to negatively affect Christmas sales. Don't they realize that Christmas is the most important time of year for our China exports? How are we supposed to stay in business with these Big Government liberals poking their noses into everybody's business?

There should be nothing, repeat NOTHING, standing between our customers and low-everyday prices. So what if the kids get bored and a little chilly waiting in the car - buy them some video games to keep them amused. Are the liberals expecting the shopping malls to provide free daycare service? Don't they understand that this would cost money?

This is already looking like it's going to be a bad shopping year - we're trying to make up for the poor sales by jacking up the rates on credit cards. Thank goodness for the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 2005, which makes it impossible for people to escape their credit card debt even if they declare bankruptcy. Next year we're going to lobby for more reform - our hope is pass legislation to reinstate debtor's prisons. Furthermore, children should inherit their parents' debt. In the case that they don't have kids, we think the debt should be inherited by cousins, in-laws, former spouses and whoever else is distantly related to the debtor. I don't think it's fair that death allows someone to escape their financial obligations.

Not if, as Brother Buford suggsted, she had thought to lock them in the trunk until she got Home and got the Gifts hidden away.

Oh! I suppose locking Children in the trunk to get in the drive-in theater is Perfectly okay in the Summer but not at CHRISTMASTIME?

And now, no surprise, Mother Nature, along with the police turns the War Against Christmas into a Conspiracy

Read it and Weep (much as He did!) Christians:

(CNN) -- The snowstorm socking the East Coast prompted an emergency declaration in the nation's capital, stranded hundreds of motorists, sparked havoc at airports, and threatened to keep hordes of Christmas shoppers indoors.

Ten to 20 inches of snow were predicted for swaths of the country's mid-Atlantic region. Washington, D.C., Mayor Adrian M. Fenty said the storm -- arriving on the last shopping weekend before Christmas -- is "perhaps the biggest we've seen in several years."

                            The National Weather Service said there is a blizzard warning for the D.C. region, with snowfall accumulations from 12 to 22 inches and 40-mph wind gusts "expected to create whiteout conditions later this afternoon." Other areas braving and expecting heavy snow included Baltimore, Maryland, where a blizzard warning has been declared; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; New York; Richmond, Virginia;
and regions from Tennessee and North Carolina to the southern New England states.

The mayor urged residents to stay put "We urge everyone, if you don't have to go anywhere, wait. This snow should end early [Sunday] morning with a 24-hour cleanup. We should have a lot of streets ready to go by rush hour Monday. And, hopefully, all of it done between Monday and Wednesday."

There have been car accidents (It's those little "ants" on the road again! Fords and Chevvies! I Know it is! ~ SUV)

In Virginia, the governor declared a state of emergency Friday as the icy conditions caused a few hundred accidents (Ho-hum ~ SUV) by Friday night, said Bob Spieldenner, director of public affairs at the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.

Rough conditions existed on Interstate 81, a major highway crossing the state, and other thoroughfares. Officials said scores of motorists have been stranded at some point throughout the state when their vehicles got stuck in the snow. The National Guard was working to bring people into shelters and crews were working to clear roads.

A Montgomery County, Virginia, official said a handful of people have been taken to the hospital. (Cowards! Retreaters! ~ SUV)

Ice and snow caused arriving flight delays at the Philadelphia International Airport. Delta Air Lines said it has canceled all flights in and out of Washington area airports and might cancel flight operations in and out of the New York area later on Saturday. American Airlines is also cancelling all flights in and outbound to D.C. area airports, Baltimore, and Philadelphia due to weather. (BIG cowards! ~ SUV)

In North Carolina, the State Highway Patrol said it had received more than 1,000 calls to assist in crashes or motorists stranded in 8 inches of snow. The storm is expected to cause chaos for weekend travelers and Christmas shoppers, but a UPS spokesman said shipped packages shouldn't be delayed.

"The good thing for us and our competitors is that this is happening on a weekend," UPS spokesman Norman Black said. He says packages set for Monday delivery are "on planes that land tonight and that offload tonight."

UPS never has packages in motion on a Sunday, even the Sunday before Christmas.
(So - at least God Bless UPS for Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy ~ SUV)
