  • Christmas story that I can't find . . .

    Brothers and Sisters -

Some time ago, I read a wonderful work of fiction. It was written by an astronaut who had traveled to another planet, one which had once been home to a civilization much like ours.

The people who'd lived there had created a great bunker which contained all sorts of information about their civilization. It was the only trace remaining of their entire race, which was destroyed when their sun went supernova millenia ago.

Some would think this horrible, and be sad that none of these people escaped. If you read the entire story, you understand how it is all a tale of God's Love.

But I can't find it. Does anyone know the story I'm talking about?

I think you are referring to 'The Star'.

The nova explosion was seen on earth as the star of Bethlehem.

    Praise Jesus!
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

Thanks, Brother Reb! It might be nice to edit out the spoiler you provided, though.

Here it is, my favorite Christmas story.

That totally reminds me of my favorite Christmas story too when I was a kid but I dont know the name of it either!!! It was this little book with drawings put out by a Baptist pastor from Missippissi in the 1970s. These two young children are excited that Christmas is coming and write a long list of toys they want to Santa. On Christmas Eve, Santa comes, but instead of bringing them toys he starts leckturing them on the wunders of secularism and liberalism. He tells the kids that they should feel guilty for being white and don't deserve any toys. He then attempts to rape the children.

Fortunately, an angel appears and destroys Santa with a flaming sword and the children cheer happily as their would-be rapist burns to death. The angel then tells the kids about the True Meaning of Christmas™ and they repent their sins of materielism and accept Jesus Christ as their savior.

It's a wonderful story and the words arent too hard so I can read it. Good for kids and adults alike. I dont know the name of the story and i cant find it online anywhere. Anyone know???

That is such a touching and heartfelt story, I bookmarked so I can show to my family when they come in later.
