Ok, my dear Zeke. You say it can? Go on, explain it. Pretty much *all* historical records back up my arguments, and what back up yours?
Denial, dear Zeke, and a choice to ignore the facts.

But do you have any hard evidence disproving the facts I referred to? Why even the bible refers to pagan traditions around xmas.

But if you have any actual, non biblical evidence to support you, please do share. I'd love to see it.

It is a well-established fact that your master satan went back in time and got the pagan hippies to pre-steal Christmas from Christ.
Wow, so now Satan is also Marty McFly? Where did he hide the delorean? I do hope he gives me a ride!
Well it won't work! You can tell Beelezebub that for me! We will ALWAYS claim Christmas for Christ. The rest is all heathen filth.
Oh Zeke. Dear dear Zeke. Putting a saddle and tassels on a pig and calling it a horse won't make it a horse.

    Dear, stubborn Zeke.
Notice how I phrased it? I don't deny xmas is about jeebus, however the holiday itself, as I phrased it, is most certainly not.

How about the undeniable fact that Jesus was born on Christmas! Is that "pagan?" Why do you think it's called CHRISTMAS you stupid sack of sin!? It's not called "paganmas" is it? No! CHRISTMAS! As in Christ Jesus' BIRTHDAY!
    Oh Zeke, dear Zeke.
Anyone who does even a little research will soon find otherwise.

Now let's look at Saturnalia. A pagan festival honoring the pagan god Saturn, a time to eat, drink and be merry. Fell from 17-23 Dec.

It was a pagan tradition in Mithraism to celebrate the birth of the sun, and celebrate with lights, as you yourself pointed out with the very creation of this thread. To celebrate the birth of the sun/sun god. On what day does this fall? Well how do you like that, December 25.
Guess what Dec 25 and that holiday was referred to as? The nativity.

Sweet Jesus, Van Hellfire, you've gotten dumber over the years, if that's even possible...
I think I just proved I'm not the dumb dumb here.

    Check and mate, Zekey.

Your not going to answer my question are you? Why?
You come to our gentle, family-friendly forum, where we praise Our Lord Jesus Christ and talk about the KJV Bible, and you start mouthing off like some meth-crazed emo, and you accuse ME of being a troll?

If you have questions about the Bible, ask away. If you have questions about your fledgling criminal career, please look elsewhere.

    Why is that, exactly?
Of course, "Ms." Van Helsing, you would look at Christmas through your biased eyes, so unlike objective scholars at Landover Baptist University.
If you tried to tell the Christmas has pagan roots, they would show you chapter and verse this is not so.

Today's "pagans", like yourself, came along after the world was created by God. You have tried to make up history.

That is why it is so important not to light candles on Christmas. It is an open invitation in invite Satan into your life.

Just by chance, would you like to meet a fine Christian bachelor? I can help you meet some at Landover Baptist Church. Attend next Sunday and we can visit.

That was at least one of the 'nicer' ways it was done. There were then those like Olaf Trygvasson who simply decided to torture people into submission.

What I've learned is that some things we do traditionally at Christmas are Pagan. There is a simple rule you can follow to clean up your Christmas by leaving out the Pagan parts.

The rule is, don't celebrate with light or lights. Pagans celebrated the solstice, the beginning of more daylight, with symbols of light, fires and candles.

As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing that makes a Baptist more happy than a long, gloomy winter night.

There is more problems than just lights, brother. The so-called Christmas tree is a travesty before God!

"Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not." -- Jeremiah 10:2-4

I take an axe to every "Christmas tree" I see. I have no tolerance for pagan symbolism. And I've burned all copies of "A Christmas Carol" that I can get my hands on. Pagan-Satanist drivel, as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you, Cathy B. Your students are fortunate to have a teacher that steers them away from the pagans.

This is the time of year when we must takes stands that are unpopular with our children who are exposed to ideas from the outside. Stay with your values and Jesus will be pleased.
