And to think I thought there was hope for you after you mentioned Circle Saving(tm)!

PRIUS?! How in the world will we use up all the oil before the Muslims and Asians get it if we all drive "economical" vehicles??

And how "sustainable" is it to send your car that runs great and gets 25-30 mpg to the scrap heap and buy a newly-manufactured Prius (which wouldn't have to be made, with all the newly-mined resources and tremendous metal-melting energy, if you didn't buy it) to get 50 mpg for the 10 miles you drive a week in your 'pedestrian-oriented community'?

On the one hand, in principle, I'm for anything that removes individual control over property in favor of collective control.
    Kill a Commie for Mommy!!

Where's the handle, it may be time to flush this one.

I'm all for peace signs. I have several peace-promoting bumper stickers on my Prius. Yet I have mixed feelings about homeowners' associations. On the one hand, in principle, I'm for anything that removes individual control over property in favor of collective control. On the other hand, the people who run most homeowners' associations are so besotted by the bourgeois, suburban mindset that they use that collective control in reactionary ways, as here, where they use it to enforce the dominant paradigm and crush diversity.

Regarding "Christmas" trees, you're right that they were originally a pagan symbol. I oppose them not because they're pagan, since all spiritual paths incorporate aspects of the truth revealed by Mother/Father God, but because they are ecologically wasteful. We should make our lives more sustainable, not less.

Now I'm not naming names, but it would seem that a few True Christian™ brothers have decided to strike a blow in the war on Christmas. This action will be disavowed by the DOF if they are caught of course, but it would seem that they got away with it.

Vandals Destroy $14K Worth Of Christmas Trees

(AP) SANTA BARBARA, Calif. Anthony's Christmas farm in Santa Barbara has been hit twice since Thanksgiving by a vandal wielding a power saw.

    Damage is estimated at $14,000.

More than 40 trees up to eight feet tall were the first hit, hacked off about two feet from the top.

Monday morning, ten- to 16-footers were found sawed in half. Owner Anthony Dal Bello says some of the larger trees were earmarked for a hospice group for an upcoming tree lighting ceremony. Others were going to shopping areas.

The trees cannot be replaced. Some were 18 years old.
Take note heathens, God hates your pagan Christmas trees!

Jeremiah 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. "Learn not the way of the heathen" and don't look for signs from heaven.
10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

    In fact.....

... the LORD condemns using pagan religious practices in His worship (Deuteronomy 12:29-31).
... the LORD condemns adding to or taking away from His commandments (Deuteronomy 12:32).
... the LORD condemns doing anything under green trees in His worship (Deuteronomy 12:1-4).
... the LORD condemns the heathen use of decorated trees at a solstice (Jeremiah 10:1-4).
... the LORD commands us to separate from and not touch pagan religion (II Corinthians 6:14-18).

DENVER - A homeowners association in southwestern Colorado has threatened to fine a resident $25 a day until she removes a Christmas wreath with a peace sign that some say is an anti-Iraq war protest or a symbol of Satan.
Typical distortion of reality by the lie-beral media. Any anti-Iraq-war protest is a symbol of Satan by definition.

Elmer and I would boycott Colorado completely if it weren't for our pilgrimages to the very Godly mecca of salvation, Colorado Springs. But we do like to empty the holding tanks on our Winnebago as we pass through Denver. Unfortunately, the state has been tainted by Buddhists from Boulder and Hellywood types from Aspen.

Typical hippy propaganda -- "peace" and "love" are for homosexuals. True Christians™ have no need for such nancy-boy things -- Godly Warriors are too busy bearing the banner and marching towards Victory for Christ™! GLORY!

Colo. subdivision bans wreath peace sign

DENVER - A homeowners association in southwestern Colorado has threatened to fine a resident $25 a day until she removes a Christmas wreath with a peace sign that some say is an anti-Iraq war protest or a symbol of Satan.

Some residents who have complained have children serving in Iraq, said Bob Kearns, president of the Loma Linda Homeowners Association in Pagosa Springs. He said some residents have also believed it was a symbol of Satan. Three or four residents complained, he said.

Lisa Jensen said she wasn't thinking of the war when she hung the wreath. She said, "Peace is way bigger than not being at war. This is a spiritual thing."

Jensen, a past association president, calculates the fines will cost her about $1,000, and doubts they will be able to make her pay. But she said she's not going to take it down until after Christmas.
Well Praise JESUS I say for those fine upstanding Christians who recognized the satanic "peace sign" for what it is. I hope they fine her $1,000 a day. If it weren't for secular law restraints, that harlot would be taken out and stoned to death! Doesn't she know what Jesus Himself told us about her communistic "peace"?

"Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division."--Luke 12:51

Let us rejoice in our victories over satan's war on Christmas! GLORY!!
