Well thank you Handmaiden for trying to get things back to the more important issues at...erm... hand.

Oh no!! I would never go for something so gauche!!

The bridesmaid's dresses are similar to this, but in a deeper plum. James and I discussed colors for a good while and it was the best compromise.

Of course for modesty, there will be matching wraps to cover shoulders and the like.

However, we gals MUST arrange a time very soon when all can go to NY for proper fittings for both gowns and the matching shoes. James was a neighbor of Vera Wang when he lived in NY and she has been kind enough to put time aside to endulge our whims. Jimmy Choo is also onboard to provide the perfect shoes to set off the desired look.

Perhaps this Saturday, we could all meet over a cup of tea to discuss the trip to NY? James has already said we can use his jet to fly over there a day convenient to us all.

Please let me know if a Saturday get together works for you.

    YIC,

    Sister Phebe.

Ahem! Mister Freddie, just where did you pick up that particular familar form of my name?

I am a True Christian Lady of advanced years and am not accustomed to being addressed in such an informal manner by ANYONE, not even those within my congregation.

That being said, the name of the band and song title will sooth the small, sinfull part of my brain that strays from devoted worship of the Lord and serious reading of His Word to collect trivial factoidal information.

So, thank you . . . and how dare you?!

Properly Yours, (but not really so don't go getting any ideas!)

I can live with huge balloon sleeves, hoop skirts, and bustles, but no warm earth tones, please--even though it is a fall wedding.

Bubble gum pink or grape soda purple, possibly school bus yellow (which is the warmest hue I can manage) will be fine with me.

I know the rules of bridesmaidom very well; Vera Wang may do for you -- our dresses will be designed by the same person who outfitted Tammy Faye.

Let me know which shop to send my measurements. I'll start working on the skydiving/pedicure/appletini party.

    Excitedly Yours,

Ooohhh, we can have the bridesmaid party at my menstrual hut. None of the men would dare set foot in it.

Yes I have finally surfaced for more than a few minutes at a time.

To stop any more questions, speculation or quandry, I would like to confirm that YES! I did accept James' proposal!

I will get back to just who we would like in the wedding party a little later...

I couldn't find any dresses in Chicago to my liking, so I have arranged a personal meeting with Vera Wang tomorrow morning and also with Henry Roth tomorrow afternoon. I will have to fly to New York so will also go by Jimmy Choo for some appropriate wedding shoes. I was wondering if perhaps Deaconess Talitha, Sister BTB, Sister Big, Mistress Cookie and also Handmaiden would like to come along and we can make a gals day of it? It is a matter of having to find bridesmaid attire too you know!

    Please let me know.

    Sister Phebe.

Maybe kangaroo steaks or something?
Kangaroo tail is not an uncommon meat found in many of the larger supermarkets, many consider it a health food. For a momentous event the dinner dishes should be extra ordinary. What is something a bit more exotic (and tasty) than kangaroo butt or Marmite soldiers?
