The Ladies of Landover are pleased as punch to announce the winner of the annual Mrs. Betty Bowers Lady of the Year award, presented last night in a gala ceremony at the John D. Ashcroft auditorium...
Mrs. Betty Bowers
Since the award's inception (we won't say how long ago), it has been won every year by Mrs. Bowers except for 2002 when it went to Mrs. Dora Denkins. In 2003, Mrs. Bowers was able to secure five Diebold voting machines for the exclusive use of the Ladies of Landover, and all our votes have gone smoothly since!
It's impossible to think of any woman who does more for the community in Freehold or at Landover Baptist Church than Mrs. Bowers. I can speak from personal experience that her B.A.S.H. ex-"gay" program is enormously successful and I give my gratitude to Mrs. Bowers and Jesus every day that my husband, Mr. Joseph Whitford, was freed of his addiction to sodomy through it allowing him to persue a normal heterosexual relationship with a dutiful True Christian(tm) wife.
