    Conversation with Jesus

BETTY: Jesus, pass me the Brunello. You've had quite enough. Tell me, darling, if you are all about love, as people keep saying over and over again, why do you send people to be tortured in Hell?

    JESUS: Why do you care?

BETTY: As you well know: I don't. I'm just making preemptive conversation before you get going on one of those interminable parables of yours.

JESUS: I don't send people to Hell; they send themselves.

BETTY: Do they take a cab?

I suspect that they would use public transport- sinners always look poor.

Indeed, "Hell" should be the last stop on any subway line. Spare God all that onerous flinging.

Yes, you are right – there’s an improvement such a person as you with your connections could suggest to Mayor Bloomberg.

I once read a book in which a man who knew someone whose friend had been on a subway – apparently it’s horrible and thus suitable for the purpose.

The person in front of me today in the post office wants sending to hell. he was a filthy creature, ogled part of my person that a husband only should. He was on foot, obviously too poor for the subway and the smell that he emitted made me think that he frequents hell quite a bit. Namely The Nags Head.

Gee, Ma'am, that was a great story. What exactly does it have to do with a conversation with Jesus? I must have missed something.

at 5am most mornings,i sit quietly contemplating my thoughts, and the coming day...i prefer to call it,a chat with jesus, rather than praying,i tell him of my worries,i ask his advice and i ask him to help me overcome things in my life that are really difficult to deal with....i say i'm sorry if i've done something wrong, and i thank the lord for my blessings,my health, and my happiness....the lord IS my shepherd, that is so true...i feel him guiding me,and keeping me safe....i love my lord jesus with every breath in my body.....sorry i've done it again..i keep rambling on....sorry....

I spoke to Jesus in my mind at the time obviously. I called upon Jesus to assist this poor wretched man to get out of my way, downwind if possible.

Dear Widow Green, do you often talk with Jesus ?. I do, I think that is what brought me here.

I speak to Jesus in everything that I do. Eating my cereal, mowing the lawn, brushing my curly hair. Everything I do, I do for Him because I'm so grateful for the sacrifice that He made for me. I speak to Him constantly. I know He'll never become sick of me, or tired of the things I say because He loves me so. Because that's what He's all about you see.
