      Dear Sister Phebe,

I will be very honored if you will bake them for the StoneFest! It will be though as I have been there with you.

Here is the recipe for this dough:

      4 cups of flour
2 cups of margarine or shortening
      2 egg yolks
      1 tablespoon of sugar
      a pinch of salt

Combine the flour sugar and salt and add the margarine/shortening little by little. Next combine the egg yolks and work the dough until it is uniform and not sticking to your hands anymore.

Once the filling is added, close the mini pie with dough and brush them with egg yolk so it will turn golden when ready.

Let me know how it turned out -- save one or two for tasting before the throwing starts!

        You're not coming???

I was so looking forward to a walk with you and Sister Phebe down to a private spot by the river where we could all witness to each other and quote scriptures that most move the Holy Spirit within us.

You will be missed Sister Sylvia! Perhaps next year?

        Yours in Him!

Oh Brother Rubicon -- If I may call you Brother, thank you for your kind words, what a gentleman you are.

I will not be able to come this year, but surely will plan on coming next year, that we may be walking together, quoting scripture, praising Jesus.

          Yours in Christ

            Bless you Sister in Christ!

I look forward to next year when we can all come together for the Stonefest! Perhaps, in the next year, you can witness to other women to serve Him and bring them along?

Thank you so much Sister Sylvia. Perhaps it is the different terminology I have to get used to, but is the flour, bakers flour(self-raising) or plain?

Also, is there any special way in which to prepare the fruits for filling the tiny pies? Does it have to be a "drier" stewed fruit than one placed in a larger pie?

I certainly wouldn't want the bottoms to be all soggy hence asking.

I am also saddened that you will not be at Stonefest this year. As Brother Rubicon said, perhaps next year you can come along and enjoy all the festivities.

              YIC,

              Sister Phebe.

Up there a home in heaven
Praise God, That's the way for me!!

Oh my! I am sorry Sister Phebe, plain flour it is. I should have explained.

The filling is prepared in the exact same way, for it not to get soggy the filling needs to be added while cool--room temperature, never warm.

I will be looking forward to next year in Freehold! Believe me, I cannot wait.

Absolutely Brother Rubicon, it will be a great joy to see you all. I suppose all the women in Freehold serve the Lord in the most Godly way already?

Most assuredly, Sister! I don't reside in Freehold, but commute between Godly Iowa and my home in Paluxy, TX. I am serving Christ in my studies of His earth.

From experience, nearly every woman in Freehold always holds her mind and body open for instruction from our Lord! I've witnessed countless exchanges between our women and the Holy Spirit!

You have a knack for precious scriptural quotes. Jesus loves you

Just to repeat a question that wasn't answered.

Is it regular flour (I assume when I see flour) or baking flour? I don't know your location and I've discovered that simple words like "flour" and "salt" mean different things in different countries.

                          Mrs. BelieverInGod,

                          It is regular flour.
