Friend, please. Have some respect for the massacred children. Your heart might be in the right place but the last thing they'd want us to be discussing right now is how they were gunned down in their classrooms, or how their tiny bodies were ripped apart by high-velocity rounds that cause a swath of tissue damage extending several inches away from its path. They certainly don't want to know that the bullet does not have to actually hit an artery to cause catastrophic bleeding or that the exit wound is the size of an orange. Please try to preserve the dignity of the children by refraining from such talk at this time.

This is not a debate forum. The purpose of this site is to praise and glorify the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is a place for Christians to fellowship and worship. The goal of the Landover Baptist Church forum is to draw people to Jesus Christ because Scripture confirms that salvation comes only through Him. Luke 6:22 tells us

The Highland Park shooter wore women's clothing.

Clearly what we need to do now is to ban men from wearing women's clothing, ban drag queen story hours and ban men from having access to women's clothing stores, just like we did with the public bathrooms. The libs say we need to ban the guns, well what about going to the source of the problems instead?

What a heartwarming story, Brother Warrior. A good insurance plan is needed to cover lost business in shooting areas. Capitalism steps forward to provide it. Businesses can buy this insurance and not worry about paying bills after the shooter is taken down. Praise Jesus.

This does not help end the shooting, but it will be easier to manage.

Why Active Shooter Coverage is Needed Now More Than Ever

The standard insurance policy for active assailant events is designed to cover a business when a person is actively engaged in killing or attempting to harm someone, extending to those 650 feet from the location. In the event of a hostage event, the coverage is triggered when an assailant has a weapon and holds one person for more than one hour.
But Oswald Companies has developed enhanced coverage that allows business owners and managers to respond quickly and thoughtfully to any incidents, so they can focus on the duty of care they feel toward students, employees and the public. The Oswald policy is triggered by any active assailant event, using any weapon, and includes coverage for those injured up to 1,000 feet away. An example of the need for extended coverage was the Mandalay Bay shooting In Las Vegas, when the assailant was roughly goo feet away from those Injured or killed.
For coverage purposes, active assailant includes vehicles, explosive devices or any Instrument used to cause harm, maim or kill others. Unlike other policies of this kind, no motive is required for coverage to begin with an enhanced policy.
In the event of a hostage situation, the enhanced coverage kicks in if one person is held for one hour. It will also cover hoax incidents or If the weapon involved turns out not to be a real threat.
This enhanced policy covers both property damage and business interruption, including denial of access to the location and subsequent event cancellations. The policy also offers ancillary support, with coverage of medical costs and death benefits for up to 24 months, including victim rehabilitation and repatriation, if necessary, of those deceased.
One of the most crucial benefits of this enhanced policy Is access to a crisis management team. With the policy, the insured are given a number to contact immediately after calling local emergency services. Then they will be put in touch with a specialized team, composed of former FBI agents and police officers, who will set up a crisis team at your headquarters or the location of the incident to offer support services.

Much like how big pharma benefits from lack of national healthcare and rewards our lawmakers for their help in keeping healthcare capitalism alive ( https://www.statnews.com/feature/pre...full-data-set/ More than two-thirds of Congress cashed a pharma campaign check in 2020, new STAT analysis shows) with private healthcare agencies, this might be another area where the loving and guiding hand of the free market can intervene.

Think of all the jobs that would be lost if there were no mass shootings in America.

That is pure logic, Mr. Mayor. What prevents gun massacres in this country is fear of being out-gunned by superior weaponry. If we were not so heavily armed, it would be like handing our country over to the crazies.

Indeed, brother! Who would dare say Jesus is wrong in exercising His Sovereignty in such a way that makes a person with a weak constitution uncomfortable? Who accuses the Holy Ghost of forgetting to instruct Christians in the manufacture and operation of Safe Spaces when the Holy Bible was written? Who has hubris so great as to claim he knows better than the LORD what a Divine Plan should look like?

Amos said it most clearly when he reminded the Jews to stop complaining about things they don't like for no doubt this is the Plan of the Good Lord:
Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid?
shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?
    Amos 3:6

Amen! Brother White I think you raise a crucial point in this essential debate. Democrats use mass shootings as a political tool to force everyone to think about their vote. Ever notice that there's a mass shooting every time there's an election? Hm?

It's a cynical plot to distract from the sodomistic sex going on right now probably involving someone you know accepting an erect male phallus into their anal cavity, pushing against it until the pubic bone is jammed against the coccyx, pounding away until a brusque withdrawal and spray of ejaculate over this person's back and nape of the neck, and a discolored slime oozing down the inner thighs which tremble in agony.

    Matthew 6:26-27
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

A problematic verse. On one hand, we should just trust Him and not worry about these shootings. They somehow belong to God's master plan, probably the one the involves getting Hell filled with infidels. On the other, is there any place for thoughts in this matter? We have witnessed countless times how thoughts and prayers are the mightiest weapon against all kinds of nastiness, and I've repeatedly used it in similar circumstances and, lo, the shootings have always ceased for a wile. But should we? I dare suggest that the time of thoughts and prayers is over, only prayer remains but I'd use it on more profitable and important subjects, such as fighting homosexual gay sodomy.

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

Q1. Have you ever shot anyone, excluding home intruders, and people who you believe to pose a threat?
    A1. No
I can't believe it. Brother Phil has gone Communist. The first thing the Commies do is take our guns away. That'a why Joe Biden wants to take our guns. But a True Christian™ saying these evil words just breaks my heart. JESUS WANTS US TO HAVE GUNS.

If we'd arm the schoolchildren, then shooters would not shoot up schools.

I read something somewhere* that there have been a number of mass gun deaths in the days since the Texas school shooting. Of course, the definition of "mass" when it comes to shootings is really being stretched recently.

It's all starting to worry me. Liberals are making a lot of noise about gun control which is just a euphemism for gun seizure. How am supposed to feel safe if they take away legally owned guns? Criminals will always get guns and commit crimes with them because that is what criminals do. But legal gun owners will be the ones paying for all this anti-gun hysteria. Just because a few people misuse their guns and get carried away is no reason to punish everybody.
