In a move that is certain to destroy countless traditional families here in America, Argentina has legalized gay marriage.

The law's passage — a priority for President Cristina Fernandez's government — has inspired activists to push for similar laws in other countries, and a wave of gay weddings are expected in Buenos Aires. Some gay business leaders are predicting an economic ripple effect from an increase in tourism among gays and lesbians who will see Argentina as an even more attractive destination.

Immediately we can see the effects of electing women to office. You know what office I elected my wife to? The department of go make me a sandwich.

"From today onward, Argentina is a more just and democratic country," said Maria Rachid, president of the Argentine Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender federation.

I think we can all tell what this lesbo is saying: Our country is better than YOUR country because we give gays special rights. Besides, how can they call themselves a "democracy" when the government didn't even hold a popular vote regarding the rights of a tiny minority?

Opponents of gay marriage proposed a civil-union law instead that would have barred gays from adopting or undergoing in-vitro fertilization to have children, and enabled any civil servant to "conscientiously object" to register gay couples.

Indeed, often times you can shut up obnoxious minorities by giving them pretend rights.

When I was a kid I raised rabbits, and I found out if you simply set the cage outside for a while they forget that they are still IN the cage and are content to look at the scenery. This is for some reason not working on gays.

"Argentina's political class has provided a lesson to the rest of Latin America," said Rolando Jimenez in the Chilean capital, Santiago. "We hope our own countries and political parties will learn that the human rights of sexual minorities are undeniable."

Here are the human rights of "sexual minorities:"

It's ironic how Argentina considers itself an accepting country, considering how bigoted they are against africans and natives. Argentina is notorious for being one of the most racist countries in the world and there have been many well publicized fights between Argentinians and others who have mistakenly called them Latino or Hispanic. Great, they treat gays well, they treat blacks and mestizos like garbage.

Free Mexico honeymoon for first Argentine gay newly-weds

Mexico City has offered a free honeymoon to the first gay couple to marry in Argentina under a new law. The couple would have all expenses paid in the Mexican capital and in the beach resort of Cancun, the city's tourism secretary, Alejandro Rojas, said.

Mexico City wants to be seen as a gay-friendly tourist destination

On Thursday, Argentina became the first Latin American country to legalize same-sex marriage. Mexico City also allows gay couples to wed.

The city government would pay the air fares for the newly-wed couple and is seeking sponsorship from hotels and restaurants to finance the rest of the honeymoon, Mr Rojas said. The offer was "a recognition of tolerance, but first and foremost a way to promote gay tourism in Mexico".

The left-leaning Mexico City government legalized same-sex marriage in 2009 and also allows gay couples to adopt children.

The BBC correspondent in Mexico, Julian Miglierini, says some Mexicans consider the invitation to be simply a publicity stunt. But he says the offer by the capital's authorities also shows how the new law in Argentina could galvanize the demand for gay rights across Latin America.

With all the talk of different counties around the earth that are allowing homersexurals to be so called " Married", I still do not understand one simple thing. Why would a man want to marry another man? They can't have children, God hates them, their parents disown them and they get the AID from having unnatural anal sex.
