  • If You Adopted a Shelter Dog, Take it Back

What bothers me is the Christmastime pressure to adopt dogs from pet shelters. These dogs were rejected by their former owners. Why do people think they are such great dogs?

The pet business is perfect for capitalism. Dog factories, sometimes misnamed puppy mills, make big investments in pens, breeding stock and dog food. We should support them instead of taking on cast off inferior dogs.

    • A Colorado animal shelter has a lot to celebrate this Christmas.
All of the dogs at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, a nonprofit animal shelter in Colorado Springs, have been adopted thanks to the shelter's "Bring Them Home for the Holidays" campaign.
The shelter waived pet adoption fees for those wanting to take home a furry friend before the holidays.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Who knows how many of those dogs will be shuffled off to some other owners? When you pay money for something, it means that you made a committment. Free things are never valued like something that cost one's hard-earned bucks.

When you grab a sofa from the curb, someday it will find its way back there when you can afford to go to Ethan Allen, or better yet, Niermann-Weeks for something that will last.

Pound pets are the Goodwill cast-off of animals. Even an IKEA purchase (Petco four-month old mark-downs) would be a better investment.

Some years back, I emptied a cats' home, but that was mainly for vivisection in the cause of Biblical research. (I remember I got a 20% discount for quantity.)

I could never "rehome" a dog. What if it had been owned by Jews? Or Muslims? Or Witches??? The kinds of demons a dog could bring into a new house is staggering to think about.

Re: If You Adopted a Shelter Dog, Take it Back

Adopting a dog is most anti-Christian for the reasons mentioned above by you, my wise Brothers and Sisters. It is also totally contrary to the philosophy of the "animal fight activists" aka Bestialists (Exodus 22.19). In their twisted minds (that contradict Genesis 1:28; for God's sake, it's in the very first Chapter of the Bible) they maintain that animals need to be kept safe without unnecessary suffering, etc. Adopting a dog during these Last Days before Jesus dismantles the Earth would cause immense additional suffering unto them.

          1. Dogs will never ever get to heaven.
          Revelation 22:15
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
          2. Before this final annihilation of dogs takes place, the Earth will shatter, as the Tribulations by Jesus will cause hitherto unseen suffering among those that are not Raptured (1 Thessalonians 4:17). As seen in the verse above, dog's wont be.

          3. Animal lovers aka Bestialists! Do you want to have your dog suffer from war, famine, burned forests, poisoned water and air and being scorched alive by the Sun!?

          Revelation 16:9
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

It is not only a Christian thing to let the dogs out of their misery now. Jesus will do it anyway in a few years. As always, the atheists are the ones who have no respect for living creatures and their (admittedly insignificant) suffering!

Re: If You Adopted a Shelter Dog, Take it Back

Actually, I have a good use for shelter dogs, provided they are aggressive. A dozen dogs, on chains, between the front and back yards is good security.

I do make sure that they have water. And when the yelping and whining becomes intolerable, I do give them kibble. Most of the time I expect them to dig up a rodent. Not concerned with warmth because they have fur.

But I would never think of having them in my house, as I would a quality dog from a quality breeder. Mrs. Porter and I are trimming the Christmas Tree tonight with our Yorkshire Terrier and he is having so much fun!

Remember, animals are ours to use:

Genesis 1:29 "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

            In Christ
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Call me old-fashioned but I won't have dogs in the house - nor sorcerers, whoremongers, murderers, idolaters and liars, for that matter.

I am confuse, friend. Yes, these dogs were rejected by their former owners, however, their owner clearly has not ate them, as they are still alive, so how can we be know what they taste like?

I have got many dog from animal shelter and I have most of the time been satisfied with dog eat.

If you could clear up for me what will the issue, then I am very thank.
"When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt." - Deuteronomy 20:1

I like this one. If change "the LORD thy God" to the spirit of Juche and "the land of Egypt" to Japanese imperialism, then it can be used to metaphor Korea's struggle against the Western powers.

Marshall Kim--I'm wondering if your loyal staff including your chef might have misled you. You must have been served succulent Nureongi, the Korean breed bred for dog meat.

The fad here in our culture to adopt shelter dogs will soon pass. When people see the beautiful animals in their local pet shop they will tire of these old useless shelter dogs.

As to what you have been eating, you are a tad overweight. My guess is you eat several servings of dog meat every day.

The problem with dogs is they are like homosexuals. They will use every opportunity to have sex even with humans. The majority of homsexuals like to crawl on all fours in front of their dogs waiting to get mounted. I've seen it. Dogs have the same moral and ethical foundation that atheists, homosexuals and many negroes have. That kind of overlapping shared foundation ath the end leads to bestiality. Think of the children.

These "shelter" dogs have the same problem as dating (or even marrying) divorced women - and you need to be sure and have their teeth checked.

Even buying a used car is fraught with problems, and even after you've had your mechanic check it out and run a compression test you can still get stuck with a lemon.

When the Milwaukee Fishing and Shooting club takes its annual trip to Florida for shark fishing, we take along a few shelter dogs. Any of the sharks we catch are put in a mobile freezer for the trip back north. None of the dogs have ever made the trip back to Milwaukee, if you get my drift.
