I was riding along the bike path this week and it's been repainted, but who chose the symbols that were used?
This one looks like a big yellow cooter that is being penetrated by a white hoo-hoo. I'm not sure what the point of the diamond is, other than to alert bike riders that there's an un-necessary obstacle in the middle of the path (which is clearly marked with yellow reflectors).


^There is a big sign that reads STOP, but I didn't stop, because I didn't want the bicyclist behind me to crash into me. (Actually, I did stop to take the picture, but I had to go back to do it.)


^Are we now buying our bicycling stencils from China because they're cheaper? Let's not have too much of this Chinky-Chinky stuff, OK?

That's probably just an exaggerated depiction of a helmet, rather than a chinee hat.

That "un-necessary obstacle" is to prevent cars from driving onto the bike path. Also, what are you, as a True Christian™ doing riding a bicycle? Are you actually concerned about this sinful Earth's environment? Shame on you! There's no need for any of that, Jesus will be coming reaaaal soon to clean up the mess!

Our are was just recently successful in petitioning the City Council to get these digusting signs:





changed to these:







It was appalling, I tell you - those first signs were even posted by our church and near schools.

I got a ticket for driving like that once. I was cited for reckless driving. I don't know what was so reckless about it, all I was doing was highlighting passages I found important in the Bible and trying to drive at the same time.
