You are of course right, Brother. But Sister Handmaiden makes an excellent point here. The very nature of the deathbed generally means that people are in no condition to remember the login to their bank accounts, let alone change their testamentary instructions.

We need to approach them much, much sooner - perhaps in the home for the terminally bewildered or, in extremis as the Roman heretics say, in the ambulance or the emergency room.

Re: Freehold Initiative To Increase Death Bed Conversions

It just struck me that we can increase the number of deathbed conversions either by increasing our missionary efforts or by increasing the number of people dying. It's not a fully formed plan, just a thought.

Receiving a tithe from those on the death bed is a problem. If they are of "full mind" they might resist both the conversion and the turning over of their money.

I've been studying the probate process and believe there is an opening for us there. Even if there is a will, all debts to others are to be paid before heirs receive their money. My thinking is we at Landover Baptist could submit a huge bill for our services. What could be more valuable to the deceased than a reservation in heaven? We would need to keep a log for all the time we spent praying and telling the comatose about Jesus. New York Lawyers charge a few thousand dollars an hour. Why not us?

While I am certain Freehold's death bed conversion program is better than any in the country, I'm also pleased when others take on this task. What can be better than more souls saved from hell?

I read recently about a family which saved an elderly member just before she died. They did this with a hospital room baptism. Praise Jesus.

That was an encouraging witness, in difficult circumstances. (During an outbreak of sorcery, when Philip was witnessing in Samaria, a similar need for baptism arose: God sent him to meet an Ethiopian eunuch who asked for baptism and some nearby water was used.) Fortunately that hospital was not dedicated to Astarte or an internal organ set on fire. There are such places though, where so-called "baptisms" performed using magic water by end-times wizards calling themselves "father" are definitely on the cards. These establishments have dead give-away names such as I won't mention because they don't need any more publicity than they force on us already. But maybe a pamphlet could be prepared listing the (invariably blasphemous) signage to steer clear of when choosing a hospital.

Because what happens in these places is nothing less than modern day sorcery dressed up as holiness, enacting a charade insofar as rites are concerned that has a single destination in mind: HELL FOREVER!

A pamphlet warning the public about hospitals with misleading names is a great idea. I'd like to start with a warning about one near Freehold. It has a huge hospital and many clinics. It's name is MERCY HOSPITAL.

Who is to receive "mercy" in this place? If one is a Catholic and needs to repent, a plea for "mercy" would be appropriate. That makes sense. No member of Landover Baptist needs mercy shown to them, he/she has not sinned. Any Catholic hospital named "mercy" should be avoided.
