Thank you very much; yes it was beautifully seasoned and I was able to get so much done, the decorators weren't a dreadful nuisance and the piano's air-freighted in so I can learn that "Radium Dance" song.

The song's dated 1904 but frankly was a bit hammy I thought so had a look for some actual radium danseuses from the period. The clip covers most of what I've read. Whether the chemical salts Loie Fuller added to her fabrics included radium is not revealed. I was impressed at how modest the costumes were for this era, ca1896-1905. Apart from noticing whether her footwork matched the rhythm of the music (it does, unfortunately but I have some plans to address that) very little is revealed and the whole performance accords with Matthew 11:17.

A modern interpretation suggested that something similar could be suitable for sales promotion? If there were any doubts I'm sure that the Pastors would be able to assess whatever fabrics are available here.

True Christians(TM) treat you people with respect and the greatest kindness as long as you maintain the proper demeanor as our Lord intended when He made us so much more intelligent than you. I do not think you will be allowed to go to Freehold because you are a Black woman and they will not want you as a neighbor even if they are polite to you in public. Yes, it's been a lovely weekend with so many new places to explore. The people are better than elsewhere, especially better than in Northern Europe. Less Russians. But I don't want to bore you with tales from my days as a heathen although the words experimental grindcore techno fusion and 3:55 a.m. will give you some idea of the sorts of clothes involved.

It's tricky when starting in a new place, and I don't wish to tread on anyone's toes.—.that's one I learned from the Russians.—.so try to be polite but make sure it's absolutely clear what my standards are.

Looking forward to a sunnier weekend which I've promised myself will be even busier than yesterday but I need to get going now and tidy up a bit just in case someone pops in for refreshments. There's some new recipes I'd like to try out and one or two interesting ingredients I'm not familiar with so I'll need to try some myself first, just in case!

Zerubbabel of course springs to mind and the uncertainty he might have felt when The Israelites' sought to worship The Lord more perfectly but were prevented by various intrigues and The Pastors have been strong for me in this area. Today's Bible reading has been encouraging, particularly a passage from Haggai reminding me that we're all in His hands:

Thank you for your well wishes. I had a lovely experience this morning, just a trick of the light I know but quite moving in the circumstances. I'm happy to assist Miss Lamb in any way, particularly with sewing as I know appropriate patterns are difficult to come by. I've already sorted out a few recipe books, I've picked up some interesting combinations along the way rich and tropical spices up an otherwise dull flan, and if there's wildlife available I have a great game pie process using my old-fashioned hand mincer which I'm checking over now.

I don't say this to bring dismay, but Freehold does have a strict "True Christians™ Only" policy. There are areas outside the gates of Freehold that are marginally nice. In my research to find housing I came upon many obstacles (not the least of which is the application for residency in the gated city of Freehold - ridiculous) and yet, there is always a way if it's God's will. You might try to find something in one of the nearby villages until such time as the Department of Faith is satisfied with your knowledge of scripture, tithing, and complete dedication to the Baptist way of life. I know you to be a man of solid, rock hard principles that display particularly nicely in your tight uniform breeches and overcoat. But it's not all about being handsome.


Again, don't despair. Maintain a prayerful, humble spirit and maybe Jesus will notice you long enough to completely save your wretched soul from the pits of Hell, darling. Um, I mean, Bro.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, someone from Homeland Security called asking if I was still in touch with you. Out of respect for your privacy I told him absolutely nothing.

Oh, yes, right, well, hmmm. I'm sure it's nothing. Probably just about that time somebody did that thing at that place where some stuff was left and I may have had some luggage dropped off at a warehouse in another town but someone got confused and dropped it by the docks there and hair samples and some Russian dock workers confused an undercover agent for a bear and it was all a big mix up and nobody was hurt except for some broken ribs because of a bulletproof vest and the Russian sailors had to leave in a hurry with their cargo unsold and I wasn't there and know nothing about it and they have the number for my attorney and shouldn't be contacting third parties over a silly misunderstanding that I had forgotten all about and Mr Handler said could be swept under the rug anyway because there are bigger fish to fry than Ruskies who may or may not be making a few extra bucks by importing a few crates of Chinese finger puzzles when nobody in China wants them and the demand in the States and Europe is very limited ever since Moldova started producing what a lot of fools consider superior products for the same price.


I wouldn't worry about it.
