The Bible tells us: you’re worthless trash without Jesus.

By Levi Jones Associate Pastor of Theology

I have explained how if you are a True Christian, you will not falter or continue to wallow in sin, but what if you are living without Jesus in your life? Here are some symptoms of living without Jesus in your life.

You can’t do anything without Jesus

I don’t know how it is even possible to get up in the morning and make coffee without Jesus. Your life must be so unbearably empty. If you are not part of His tree, you are as worthless as a branch on the ground.

Poor thing. You need Jesus in your life, so you can experience joy like me.

John 15:1-6 1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Without Jesus you will dry up and become kindling for the great bonfire in hell.

If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

You are a noxious weed to be burnt. A tare.

Merriam-Webster defines a tare in the Biblical sense thusly: An injurious weed resembling wheat when young

wheat taresMatthew 13:36-42 36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

thrown into hellThat place of misery, that lake of burning brimstone. The wrath of God. Hell’s wide gaping mouth open; and you have nothing to stand upon, nor any thing to take hold of; there is nothing between you and hell but the air.

You are fit to be thrown onto a trash heap to be burnt.

Translated as hell into the Bible, Gehenna has been traditionally known where the garbage and cursed bodies were cast out from the sacred place of Jerusalem.

Matthew 10:28/ Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell (Gehenna); yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Mark 9:43-48 43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell (Gehenna), into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

It’s easy to stomp on and crush a worm that we see crawling on the earth, so it is easy for God almighty to throw a worm like you down to Gehenna.

If you would like to dispute that Jesus doesn’t mean hell is a fiery place of conscious eternal torment, please look again at the verses in Mark 9

You are under Condemnation already

falling to hellDo you even comprehend eternity in fire? Apparently you don’t.

You not only rightly deserve to be cast down to hell, but the the eternal and immutable law of God, that rule of righteousness of God’s covenant between Him and humanity, is against you, and stands against you, so that you are teetering over hell already. Every unconverted man or woman properly belongs to hell; that is the place; from where he comes from already.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 8:21, 23 21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and  whither I go, ye cannot come.

23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

As an unrepentant degenerate sinner, your life is meaningless.

Without set moral absolutes to guide your life, your morality will change from day to day to serve your interests. For instance, you may steal if you think no one is watching, but the Christian knows God is always watching! The atheist thinks there will be no consequences for his actions, but the Christian knows he must wholeheartedly say he is sorry to Jesus to receive forgiveness. The atheist will do no such thing, making him a thief.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

You are not worthy of Jesus’ love

Matthew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Luke 14:26-27 26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Matthew 17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

You need to let the Lord make your decisions for you.

You must acknowledge that you are stupid and worthless. Your own thoughts and feelings are useless and you need to replace them with Jesus’ thoughts.

Proverbs 5:5-7 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Jeremiah 17:7-9 7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.

For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Psalm 25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

fools pity Psalm 14 1

Psalm 14:1

Without God guiding your life, I feel sorry for you. It must be hard having no reason to live. I sure wouldn’t want to believe in nothing like you do. I can’t imagine believing everything came about by random chance, but hey that’s just me.

Perhaps someone hurt you in the church. You’re angry at God. I understand that. Maybe it was something I did that made you mad at God. If so, I am sorry. But that’s not Jesus’ fault that people who run the churches aren’t perfect. You should try to find a church where Jesus truly lives.

If you don’t, Jesus is going to hurt you for all eternity. Don’t make Him do that, please. Don’t make Jesus come find you. There’s nowhere you can hide from Him when He comes for you.

Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
