Judgement Day – The Math

I have previously explained how, in a perfectly Christian world, we would all pray three or four times a day and that, as the world population is approaches 8 billion, this would mean about 28 Billion prayers for God to listen to each and every day. To put this in context, this is a little more than one billion an hour or 7,800,000 per second – and, on top of this, there are all the other things that need God’s help to happen.

One point I have not spoken about is the math of “Judgement Day”:

Re:9:15: And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
Re:9:18: By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

It might seem to the casual observer that the job would be so much easier as only one third of the population will be killed per second (2,590,000 deaths per second) and there will be four angels – 647,500 per second each.

But No! Whereas God has the luxury of a whole day to hear your prayers, consider them and respond, the angels only have only one hour! Thus their death-rate has to be a combined 15.54 million per second or about 4 million each per second!

Many problems arise:
1. Those killed are not simply nuked – they are to be killed by fire, smoke, and brimstone (sulfur). All these substances will issue from the mouths of the angels and so the lumps of sulfur will be no bigger than a mouthful and unlikely to be instantly fatal as sulfur is not particularly dense, (2.0, compared to lead 11.3) and thus the pieces will be relatively light .
2. Death by fire can be almost instantaneous, but death by smoke inhalation usually takes a little longer. Thus the hour that the angels are given for the task must also account for the time take to die by the sinner in question, and, to be on the safe side, this could be up to 20 minutes, and the math is changed again ~ 6,000,000 per second each.
3. But the major problem is logistics! We can all think of cities of 6 million or more where people are relatively easy to find, but what of places in the Bible Belt, Amazonia, the Middle East, Russia, etc. where people are thinly scattered? This is an important consideration as God’s Plan is published in the most famous book in the world, and we can be sure that Satan has seen it and has advised his followers accordingly to scatter.

However, I believe that Jesus has covered this one:

M’t:6:6: But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Lu:12:3: Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

If you are alone (scattered) and are praying, the angels will instantly know that you are exempt (unless, of course, you are you’re praying to a graven image.)

Now, at this point, you may be saying, “Hold on there, Pastor Bathfire! You are supposed to speak to us to strengthen our shared Faith! And yet, here you are making things difficult!”

And I reply, in smiling understanding, that

M’t:13:10: And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
M’t:13:11: He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
M’t:13:12: For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
M’t:13:13: Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
M’t:13:14: And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
M’t:13:15: For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
M’t:13:16: But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
M’t:13:17: For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Put briefly, but bearing in mind the deep spiritual understand that Christ gives us, this can be paraphrased as “Some will hear and understand and some will hear and not understand, and for those who do understand, they understand that through God, all is possible, and for those who do not understand, then it is a miracle.”

And who does the most miracles?

And so the answer to the math of Judgement Day is (1) “It is a miracle and miracles prove the existence of God, and (2) that as Psalms:12:6: The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” Then it is true.
