Roman Catholic sex scandal of the day

Given the sheer number of sex scandals in the Roman institution, the pastors have decided that instead of starting a new thread for each one, we should have a single thread where all of them may be posted.

Here is one for today.

Jury breaks without verdict in Philadelphia church abuse case

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - A Philadelphia jury ended its fifth day of deliberations on Thursday without reaching a verdict in the child sex abuse trial of a Roman Catholic monsignor, the highest-ranking U.S. clergyman to stand trial in the church's wide-ranging pedophilia scandal.

Monsignor William Lynn, who supervised hundreds of priests in the Philadelphia Archdiocese for 12 years as secretary of the clergy, is accused of conspiracy and child endangerment.

If convicted on all charges, he faces the possibility of 21 years in prison.

This is what happens when a Christian church is forced to offer insurance for birth control pills. Those Catholics priests had no choice but to rape those kids after that.

Sad really.

If there's one thing that the Roman institution can do well — apart from setting up a satanic mockery of Christianity and luring billions into hell — it's defending child molesters.

From the JYT:

Church Battles Efforts to Ease Sex Abuse Suits

While the first criminal trial of a Roman Catholic church official accused of covering up child sexual abuse has drawn national attention to Philadelphia, the church has been quietly engaged in equally consequential battles over abuse, not in courtrooms but in state legislatures around the country.

The fights concern proposals to loosen statutes of limitations, which impose deadlines on when victims can bring civil suits or prosecutors can press charges. These time limits, set state by state, have held down the number of criminal prosecutions and civil lawsuits against all kinds of people accused of child abuse — not just clergy members, but also teachers, youth counselors and family members accused of incest.

George Lucas and his "Star Wars" creations are all Satanic demons and false idols. I'm offended that you post such things here, even in the face of a monster.

Who cares if you are offended? It's if God is offended that matters.

That is true. However, I'm sure that God is quite offended, after He saw what was posted here. Repeating the names of Demons, even in comparison to Catholic scum, is against the 2nd commandment. I would ask that his post is removed.

And how do you know God is offended? Post scripture to back up your opinions or simply be quiet. We don't really care what thoughts you had in your head about a God you're just making up.

A story breaking in the next town over from me; more deviant priests raping children.

http://www.derryjournal.com/news/loc...ault-1-3964368

A priest has gone on trial at Derry Crown Court accused of indecently assaulting a teenage girl at a parochial house in the city twenty years ago.

Fr Eugene Boland, whose address was given on court papers as Parochial House, Killyclogher Road, Omagh, denies five charges of indecently assaulting the girl between June 28, 1990 and June 30, 1992.
Opening the trial to a jury of four men and eight women, prosecuting counsel Russell Connell said the incidents were allegedly committed in the Parochial House of the White Chapel, Galliagh.

He told the jury they would hear evidence that the girl, who was around 14-years-old at the time, was asked by the priest to “help out” in the Parochial House. She would answer phones in the house, take messages and deal with visitors if the priests were out. The jury were told the teen was initially accompanied by a friend but after a while she would go to the Parochial House on her own once a week.

Mr Connell said the jurors would hear the girl “got on particularly well” with 66-year-old Boland as he was “chatty, quite informal and friendly.”
It is alleged that during one conversation, the priest told the teen if he was ten years younger and she was ten years older, she would be “his type of woman.”

The complainant claims that on another occasion they were looking at a book of church laws at the kitchen table, when Boland told the girl to stand beside him. It is alleged he then put an arm around her waist, moved it up and down before putting his hand underneath her clothing.
The jury were told they will hear evidence the teen was “frozen with shock and fear” and alleges Boland only stopped touching her when they heard one of the other priests approaching the kitchen. Mr Connell said the girl continued to help out in the parochial house and alleges Boland once asked her if she was having a sexual relationship with her boyfriend.
It is alleged the priest told her if she wanted to talk about it, she should come to him in confession because he would be “raging” if she went to someone else. The girl claims later the same night Boland hugged her and “kissed her full on the lips”.

She alleges that while helping the priest out with a church bulletin, Boland lifted her top and asked if her trousers were buttoned. The jury were told the complainant makes further claims that on the same night the priest pushed her against the wall, hugged her and tried to kiss her “passionately” while they were both in his bedroom. She claims she later approached Boland about his behaviour and he allegedly told her “despite being a priest we are still men underneath and we still think like men”.

The complainant alleges she spoke to him a second time and suggested they go to the bishop. She claims during this conversation Boland was “down on his knees” apologising for all the hurt he put her through”.
The jurors were told they will also hear evidence about when Boland was made aware of the allegations against him by a “designated officer” of the Diocese of Derry.

It is claimed he replied that he was a “touchy, feely kind of person”.
Boland was interviewed by police about the allegations and accepted he may have hugged and kissed the girl, but had never kissed her on the lips. Prosecuting counsel Russell Connell said once the jurors had heard all the evidence in the case, they would be “satisfied” that the teen “was assaulted and the assaults were in circumstances of indecency”

Guilty!

Bishop Fernando Bargallo, 57, was forced to hand in his resignation after photographs emerged this month showing him frolicking and embracing the woman at a luxury resort in Mexico.

Bargallo, who led the Argentine diocese of Merlo-Moreno outside Buenos Aires since May 1997, has reportedly admitted to having "amorous ties" with the woman he is seen embracing in the water, thought to be a divorced restaurant owner.
Of course the Roman institution forced him to resign. How could a catlick clergyman be seen frolicking amorously with someone who was both adult and female? His Unholiness must have stomped his ruby-slipper-clad feet on hearing the news.

For the Roman institution, Monsignor Lynn is the gift that keeps on taking.

Lamestream "news" source:
Quote:

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - A monsignor on Tuesday asked a judge to free him from jail following his conviction in the Roman Catholic Church's child sex abuse scandal, saying he was not a flight risk and is prepared to waive his right to fight extradition.

William Lynn, 61, the former secretary of the clergy for the Philadelphia Archdiocese, has been behind bars since Friday when he became the only senior church official convicted for covering up the abuse.

He faces up to seven years in prison when he is sentenced on August 13 for endangering the welfare of a child.

* * *

Assistant District Attorney Patrick Blessington called Lynn a flight risk who might head to another country including Vatican City, which has no extradition treaty with the United States.
Maledict's little kingdom has no extradition treaty with the United States? I cannot begin to imagine why not. What could the denizens of the Vatican't possibly have to hide?

Exorcism, Catholic style

From The Washington Compost:

Arlington lawsuit says priest sexually assaulted woman during ‘exorcisms’

When a troubled Virginia woman became convinced she was possessed by the devil, she turned to a Catholic priest in Front Royal for help.

When they met in 2008, Euteneuer told the woman that he thought her case was “severe” but that he was sure he could help rid her body of a “demonic infestation” of “unclean spirits,” according to a lawsuit filed in Arlington County Circuit Court.

Over the next two years, the suit alleges, Euteneuer sexually molested the woman repeatedly during purported “exorcism” sessions, often conducted in offices on the Human Life International campus, near Interstate 66 about an hour west of Washington.
Christian modesty prevents me from quoting the details of what allegedly went on from the article.

PHILADELPHIA — The first U.S. church official convicted of covering up sex-abuse claims against Roman Catholic priests was sentenced Tuesday to three to six years in prison by a judge who said he “enabled monsters in clerical garb ... to destroy the souls of children.”

So an administrator who allowed multiple employees to rape children and did nothing about it gets a wee short sentence.

Are all Catholics cowards like this fool?

Missouri: Priest to Plead Guilty in Child Pornography Case

The Rev. Shawn Ratigan, a priest in Kansas City who is accused of producing pornographic photographs of young girls he knew, has filed notice that he will plead guilty in federal court on Thursday. He had previously pleaded not guilty and was to be tried this month. Diocesan employees discovered hundreds of images of girls’ [unmentionable bits] on a laptop computer the priest had taken in for repair in December 2010. Father Ratigan then survived a suicide attempt, and was reassigned to live in a church facility where he continued to have contact with children. The case led to the indictment of his superior, Bishop Robert Finn, and the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, on a misdemeanor charge of failing to report suspected child abuse. They are scheduled for trial in September.

It just goes to show you, when people pray to the catholic goddess Mary, what they wish will magically go away doesn't.

You'll never see a True Christian™ struggle with sexual temptation because the LORD promises to heal those who believe in and worship Him (not Mary). (Exodus 23:25)

Missouri priest to plead guilty in child porn case

By BILL DRAPER Associated Press
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A Kansas City priest is expected to plead guilty in a federal child pornography case that led to misdemeanor criminal charges against his bishop and the Catholic diocese.

A lawyer for the Rev. Shawn Ratigan said the priest planned to plead guilty during a hearing Thursday afternoon. He was scheduled for trial later this month for production, possession and attempted production of child porn.

In December 2010 a technician found "troubling images" of children Ratigan's laptop computer. The photos weren't turned over to police until May 2011, after Ratigan violated orders from Bishop Robert Finn to stay away from children.

Finn and the diocese are charged in Jackson County with failing to report suspected child abuse to the state. Both have pleaded not guilty.
Is there any truth in the rumor that he is recorded as saying, "Pass me another choir boy, this one's split..."?

I think we should be told.
